these seem to be mainly driveways to individual houses and would be better tagged as highway=service + service=driveway

Why don’t you join the two section and delete the relation.

I think natural=grassland is incorrect tagging for areas of the asphalted car parks in PC Hosp. You could micro-map the tree and garden areas finely where they occur instead if you wish.

I deleted it.
Using iD editor, I expect you just need to select the track and then select the trash icon.
Generally, you may need to split a way first to add a tag or delete a section of a way. I think the scissors icon does that.
I am unfamiliar with the iD editor as I use JOSM editor instead.

I remapped this and nearby islands using Bing imagery and added the island/islets as inners to the river multipolygon relations. It should render on the OSM in a few days, earlier if you use the Tor browser.

you appear to be rushing your task and sacrificing accuracy. There should be a "square menu item" in iD to help make the corners square in rectangular shapes.
