this is an operational map and unsuitable for test edits. Use openstreetmap sand boxes exist for that...or just refrain until you need to do a necessary edit to the map. If you make a mistake you can alway undo you work.

This future roadway would be preferably be tagged...
highway=proposed plus proposed=tertiary
This won’t render on the standard layer unfortunately, but will show if ‘map data’ is checked under the layers tag.
Once construction begins it should be tagged...
highway=construction plus construction=tertiary plus access=no if appropriate
and this will render as a distinct dashed roadway.
Finally, parts or all that are complete would be tagged ...
highway=tertiary plus surface=asphalt , max speed limit, etc and the construction tag can be deleted.

In regards to correct tagging for the osm database...
natural=water plus water=reservoir
Would be correct tagging for the areas of water storage that are commonly called dams on farms.
water=*
The dam tag is described here
waterway=dam and may often form a side of the body of water.
Another alternative tag method is as described here
landuse=reservoir

Cliff lines should appear on the osm with the triangles pointing to the low side. You appear to have drawn the cliff lines in the wrong direction and the ones you have drawn appear as crevices. Please search the wiki for more information on mapping these. Can you check if they need fixing as I expect you are trying to map steep sided rising rock formations.

I have mapped Cairns South Health Facility using Maxar imagery. Uncertain about the fence, gates and access.
Feel free to correct.

Thanks for further info. We only have permission to use the imagery provided in the editors to map the osm. Maxar is one of those and is fairly recent for this area. I’ll map more of it tomorrow unless to you do it first.

Faint hints of a perimeter fence and gates can be seen but not clear enough for me to map.

This facility is visible on Maxar imagery if someone wants to map it more fully.
It is not clear to me which roads are accessible or if gated near the heliport area.

Once the roadway construction is completed, the “construction=residential” tag can be removed. That information is already included in the highway=residential tag.

It is best to not extend the residential area to the roadway centreline nodes. Alignment with the side of the road enables easier editing for future mapping.

....also take into consideration that there is no sandy beach here. It is all mudflats and mangrove vegetation in parts.
