Hi Leon
I noticed a couple of lines without tags in this area that may need deleting.

You need to place your business details, including address, on the building that you operate from where the public can attend. If you don't an office that the public can attend, then google is likely to be a more suitable place for your listing.

Hi Ken
I re-tagged you business entry based on how things are normally tagged. Your business normally gets listed under name. I put your own name under operator.
Can you drag the node with all the info over your business office as it is placed on the divider between businesses now. I notice that this is the training centre and the admin office appears elsewhere on your website. You may prefer to have the name as KMS Driving School Training Centre but seems a bit long to me but up to you what you prefer.

Hi
I noticed you have added landuse=forest along the River Torrens area.
landuse=forest is used to mark areas of land managed for forestry.
It would be better tagged with one of the natural or landcover tags such as
natural=wood or
natural=scrub or
landcover=trees

Are you intending to edit the map and add the missing items you have put an empty node on?

58920905 over 7 years ago

I have deleted this as the tagged location of 577 Boundary Rd, Camp Hill QLD is not at the mapped location.
You cannot plonk your business anywhere you like. It has to be at the physical location where the public can enter your business premises.

correction: CAPAD is updated biennially (every two years)

I deleted this because you added the supermarket details to a node on a path.
You need to add the details to the building it occupies instead.

The CAPAD 2016 data is a good source you can use for the protected areas http://www.environment.gov.au/land/nrs/science/capad/2016 and defines the gazetted boundary and is updated biannually.
The high water springs may well align with the gazetted boundary but they are separate entities and I favour mapping them as they are gazetted. The high tide mark from satellite imagery is how most would practically do the coastline unless deriving from importing shapefiles or similar.
The leisure=nature_reserve as used by the OSM is leisure=nature_reserve and seems quite suitable for national parks in WA and other areas around the world for reserved nature areas whether open to public access or not.
I am unaware of any gazetted boundary data for forestry apart from some I used for NSW but I believe the WA Landgate info is not able to be used yet but there are listings of suitable data here that may help
osm.wiki/Australian_Data_Catalogue
The forestry reserves seem to me to be often in need of an updated more accurate boundary but hard to find a suitable source.

I don't know much about heath but is as described here osm.wiki/Vegetation
I find it difficult to identify on satellite imagery as with wetland.

Before you make large deletions that others have likely put considerable effort into you should discuss with those mappers and probably also on [email protected] where you should also raise things that have a big impact on the map. You may have already done this.

Whilst I question some of your mapping, I am impressed with the quality and extent of you efforts in improving the OpenStreetMap.

Best regards and thanks for the prompt and detailed response.
Nev.

Why are you doing mass deletions of other mappers data?
eg https://overpass-api.de/achavi/?changeset=58884056
@Keith/history#map=6/-33.382/121.252
You should be downloading the boundaries of National Parks, Forests, etc from the data source and using those to correct the map and align stuff.

I think you also need to add office=company so the database can link your tags to a particular thing

There appears to be a mix up here. The Marina Tower is mapped a bit south down the street at #8 Pearl River Road just past 'Four Points by Sheraton' and that appears to be in the correct location from Mapillary imagery. The #8 depicted in this changeset is about roughly #28 Pearl River Road I think and the #8 may refer to Star Crescent? or be incorrect.

Hi
you damaged other features with your edits. I have restored the map. Please add your business details to a new node or your building or your property outline only and add something like office=company and other tags.
eg
opening_hours=*#Examples
addr=*
contact=*

58874119 over 7 years ago

Hi
you need to add office=company or similar to your edit.
A name, address and spam description are not sufficient to keep your spot on the map.

58868844 over 7 years ago

Hi
you have not specified what kind of shop or office or craft you have added. I suggest office=company or craft=metal_construction
You may like to add more contact details
contact=*

58841257 over 7 years ago

Hi
there are tags to include contact details correctly
contact=*

58840670 over 7 years ago

Hi
you forgot to add your real physical address details and you also need to add office=company or similar.
If you only have PO Box details and contact details without a physical address that people can attend, you are unable to list on the osm.

58840010 over 7 years ago

Hi
you have placed 2 nodes instead of 1 for your business.
You need to add a tag such as office=company to tell the what you are adding.
The addr:street format is incorrect
addr=*
The name tag is normally use for your business name. If you want to have your personal name listed you could use the operator=* tag I guess or use one of the contact tags
contact=*
The correct format for phone is
phone=*

58837506 over 7 years ago

Hi
your formay for phone and opening hours is incorrect.
phone=*
opening_hours=*#Examples
