Changeset When Comment

Welcome to the OpenStreetMap Michael Dobson. I have noticed unusual mapping by you this evening, including changing the shape of buildings on the Warburton Golf Club, shifting The Patchwork Tea House from it's location on to the Warburton Highway and finally deleting the the Warburton Golf Club entirely.
This is a public map. Are you intending to correct or remap these items or should I or a local mapper revert the changes entirely?

Hi galacticism
I raised the issue on talk.au https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-au/2018-April/date.html
and it seems we are unable to use the DNRME QLDGlobe data yet.
Are you able to revert or undo those parts of your mapping that used this data. There is a 'revert changeset' plugin for JOSM that can assist to partially or completely undo changesets. You may find it easier to undo the affected items and then remap using sources we have explicit permission for and add comment to that effect in the changeset comments. If necessary others can revert all those changesets that refer to the use of QldGlobe data. If you want to discuss this further I think it would be best the use the talk-au mailing list where the situation with using data sets is often discussed with those who are more knowledgeable than me on this subject and can assist. Past discussions in the archive will give you an idea of the process to get permission to use in OSM.
We appreciate your extensive mapping effort in the area but need to be careful to use sources that allow their data to be included in OpenStreetMap.
Regards Nev.

I don't think we have explicit permission to use QldGlobe data in the OSM

no response - decided not to use only name visible on imagery ‘Millard Horizon’ and deleted 'The Oasis'

no response - removed 2 place_of_worships that appear to be a mapping error

I have mapped in correct location

I reversed my change and left as two one member MPs but would be ideally mapped by sharing common segments as MPs instead of single polygon with overlapping ways.
...but their is differing opinion on this so have left alone.
Should be either shared ways in MP or single polygon but not single member MP.

Hi
You appear to have placed 2 Pokolbin Halls in the middle of paddocks. Have they been constructed more recently that the satellite imagery or is this a mistake?

This is a public map.You have added a node with name= Dinner ritual
Any reason why this should not be deleted?

This is a public map. You have marked two places of worship with name 'home' and neither look like religious places.
Are they? or is it a mistake?

Could no see the name ‘The Ossis’ on imagery. Would you mind if I changed the name to ‘Millard Horizon’ which I can read on imagery?

Hi Frostt
you will find that the Esri imagery is much clearer than Bing currently in your area.

Is it common for residents to place a name on their residence in Port Hedland? Used to be more common early to mid last century but name signs are not often observed from the street much these days.

Looks to be wrong to me so I have reverted your changeset. The junction and part of Darling Drive and Ultimo Road restored.

57568962 almost 8 years ago

You have deleted part of Darling Drive and Ultimo. Is this a correct, beginners error or vandalism?

Should the section of the road that extends from the section you changed, through the roundabout from Hadley St to Franston-Dandenong Rd, also be changed from Loma to Lorna or is that section correct?

Note that highway=proposed does not render on the standard layer on OSM, but when construction begins and the tags are changed to highway=construction it will be rendered.
