Based on public-footpath signs from Wivenhoe cross, up the side of this residential area, this is probably a public footpath that continues, possibly merging with the south-easterly one leading to the patch of woodland (after going under power-lines).

This is public footpath across a quarry? If redirected, it should be updated to represent the new route, probably connecting with ~ Paddock Way / Field Way / Wivenhoe Cross area.

Another island requiring a multipolygon riverbank here?

Yet another island here - needs a multipolygon relation around the riverbanks, or something similar.
