Evite fazer testes no mapa. Tudo o que você altera e que não existe na realidade acaba afetando os usuários do mapa.
Dentro do editor você pode executar o tutorial, clicando no último botão da barra do lado direito e selecionando "Comece o tutorial".
Os passos dele cobrem a maioria das coisas básicas que você deve aprender, incluindo criar áreas.

Matheus, bem vindo ao OpenStreetMap e obrigado pela colaboração.
O tipo de praça que você utilizou é diferente do que imagino que você gostaria de utilizar. O uso de "place=square", como você fez, em geral indica uma praça pavimentada (um "plaza"). Uma praça verde seria melhor representada como "leisure=park"
Outro detalhe é evitar grudar os nós nas ruas do lado. Procure traçar as áreas onde elas realmente existem, sem unir nenhum ponto com as ruas ao redor.
