"Severe landslides between this point and the village of Playa. The trail to the left of the river is a popular route for hikers doing the salktantay trail. Very little information or warnings available online or from local populace. Extremely dangerous and the bridge at this point is the only place to cross to safety. The mudslides get steadily worse along the trail left of the river until reaching one completely impassable on foot and those that continue on this trail will then have to turn back 2km along the trail, back over several dangerous mudslides and back to the bridge to cross to safety. If hikers are aware they need to cross the river at this point they will not risk traversing the mudslides or have to retrace the trail back to the bridge."
