| 44124810 | about 9 years ago | No. Its not apropiate. "Calle Miguelete" is not an historical name, the name is, and always was the same, Miguelete. "Calle Miguelete" is written on old signs, and "Miguelete" is written on the new ones. Not all olds signs have been taken away. Avenida and Bulevar are exceptions, and also the signs (old and new) shows "Av." and "Bv." Check
You can also find mixed old signs (not and old name, it's the same name with prefix), for exampe,
The string "Calle" is only part of the name in a few exceptions, most commonly when the name is a number or a letter. "Calle 7" or "Calle B". |
| 43883110 | about 9 years ago | Not exactly. They are always amenity=payment_centre (their main business activity), and also sometimes are amenity=bureau_de_change, so because multivalued amenity is not well interpreted by all consumers is better to be mapped as two separate elements. |
| 44200682 | about 9 years ago | surface=sett and not cobblestone is a better choice for this kind of surface. Most (if not all) surface=cobblestone in Montevideo are errors and should be put in a todo list to evaluate and correct them. Also, with sett there are several situations, in some strets the smothness is good and aceptable to drive in a car (like this small part), and in others streets "paved" with sett are so bad that if you drive there it will loosen you teeths. |
| 43882892 | about 9 years ago | Im talking about the intersection of La Cumparsita and Doctor Carlos Maria Morales.
|
| 44124810 | about 9 years ago | The old signs says that, but "Calle" is the prefix and not part of the name.

| 44073195 | about 9 years ago | I don't disagree, I just has some doubts. |
| 43883110 | about 9 years ago | I dont know without seeing it, most probably is just a new building that advertises some apartaments for sale. You can also see as "Financia Santander" or any other bank. I will go there next week. |
| 44086279 | about 9 years ago | UTE (las oficinas) seria office=company, al igual que las otras empresas publicas. office=government es gobierno ya sea nacional o departamental, ministerios, u otras unidades del gobierno. Por ejemplo, URSEA, URSEG y AGESIC serian office=government |
| 29864557 | about 9 years ago | Le voy a preguntar a @Pablo%20Lorda%20Da%20Costa%20Porto que ha estado mapeando Salto en las ultimas semanas... |
| 13755445 | about 9 years ago | The south part should'nt be divided.
What is important in that intersection is that there are the four turn left restrictions, no matter the way you came from, you can't turn left. |
| 43883110 | about 9 years ago | Also, just to clarify, some Abitab and RedPagos do have money exchange service, but to know for sure you have to enter and ask. Having an exchange rates table in the window is also indicator that they probably do exchange money. Is seems that in those cases is better to add a another node with amenity=bureau_de_change |
| 43965618 | about 9 years ago | No te preocupes no hay semaforos ahi. Ya lo vi bien hoy. Lo que hay es una señal que indica semaforos proximos. |
| 15928604 | about 9 years ago | This changeset is 3 years old and set the max speed of all streets in the city. I see no relation with the surface tag. What did you mean? |
| 36750084 | about 9 years ago | You can see some pedestrian prohibition signals and fences here node/917501068 and node/917596214 which prohibits the crossing in one of the two sidewalks. |
| 36750084 | about 9 years ago | Yes. Pedestrians are prohibited only if explicity signaled or impeded with fences. I do not make the traffic rules. And for safety they shouldn't be able to cross, and maybe a barrier protect them, but it is legally allowed and common practice to cross like this. Also is common that pedestrians do not respect traffic lights, and walk by the street very close to the fence, or vandalize the fence to cross anywhere... Obviously, if a fence is vandalized you shouldn't draw a footway there, or if you draw because with the broken fence there is a real crossing there, I would tag as "access=no" In Uruguay and Argentina there are also lots of "pirate" access to motorways or highways, access that are not legal, but anyway used by a lot of people because the are no barriers, then as you have to map the real world (the "pirate" access is there) but, for example, map in a way that the routing engines understand them and avoid routing through them. |
| 36750084 | about 9 years ago | If you mean foot paths like this way/314768741 or this way/314768741 they are maped because pedestrian can cross there. ¿Is there any other way to model this? |
| 43881420 | about 9 years ago | Thanks. |
| 44193133 | about 9 years ago | It's prefered to have no surface tagged, than have the wrong surface tagged. The first is an omission, the last is an error. If you see asphalt, then your ground survey is wrong or low quality! You should stop making changes based on this survey, to first check the quality of the survey and try to find how those errors were introduced in the survey. If not you will probably "inadvertently" continue adding bad data, only that those next times it won't be inadvertently because there were a lots of warnings about the quality of the survey. |
| 44072327 | about 9 years ago | This is not a case of "one feature, one osm element", is about where the feature/element is located. The main activities of the restaurant are inside the main bulding, food is cooked, ordered, and served in the main building. The light building has only seatings for customers, just like some other restaurants has seatings outside in a sidewalk or a pedestrian street. |
