| 126484731 | about 3 years ago | Hi, thanks for mapping. I am reviewing mappings in this project as a validator. The buildings you mapped are well done as to their location and squareness. But pay attention to the tagging. In several cases you mapped building=residential or building=house, but that should be building=yes. As remote mappers we can not know the function of the building (unless you are a local mapper). Thanks so much for your contribution, Martien, HOT validator.

| 126477653 | about 3 years ago | Hi, thanks for mapping and welcome to HOT. You requested a review of your mappings. The buildings you mapped are well done as to their location. But pay attention to the squareness of the corners. Always draw buildings as square and precise as you can. Then add the Building feature type. And last, right click it and click the square icon. Check carefully before saving if the building has the tag building=yes. Here the tag is missing. Thanks so much for your contribution, Martien, HOT validator.

| 126365554 | about 3 years ago | Hi, thanks for mapping. You requested a review. The buildings you mapped are well done. Be careful though not to include surrounding courtyards. As to the roads: be careful with your spelling, you tagged the roads as haghway. That should be highway. Also your tagging highway=residential could imo be better tagged as highway=unclassified. Their main function (zoom out to see that better) is connecting settlements. I fixed the misspelling. Thanks so much for your contribution, Martien, HOT validator.

But pay attention to the squareness of the corners. Always draw buildings as square as you can. Then add the Building feature type. And last, right click it and click the square icon. Also please avoid mapping several buildings as one building. Every building must be traced separately. Zoom in as close as possible to see the outline of the buildings, hit each corner of the building carefully. Look for shadows, open ground, changes in roof color and vegetation to differentiate buildings. Please watch this short video for more info:

| 125728026 | over 3 years ago | Hi Javbw, if you feel the project requirements are not sufficient/incomplete please be so kind to discuss that in the open. The project chat is your best option. Not doing so could confuse other mappers/validators. In the end, it is always HOT project management who decides the requirements. Woodpeck, it was not my intention to discourage people to map. My apologies if my words did suggest that. But please view my remarks in the context of an urgent HOT project for a disaster happening right now, to be completed asap. Mapping non required features takes time. It can complicate mapping/validation for others in the project. As a result this might slow down the completion of it. |
| 125738857 | over 3 years ago | Hi, i am reviewing the mappings in this project. You mapped multiple buildings as one building. Please avoid this. Zoom in as close as possible to see the outline of the buildings, hit each corner of the building carefully. Look for shadows, open ground, changes in roof color and vegetation to differentiate buildings. And please do not forget to square your buildings after tagging them by pressing ‘q’ on your keyboard. You can be fooled by the surrounding vegetation. That makes a building look unsquare, while in actuality it is not. Thanks for your cooperation and regards, Martien, HOT Global Validator

| 125739573 | over 3 years ago | Hi, i am reviewing the mappings in this project. I notice you map roads and water here. Remember that we are only mapping buildings in this project. This is detailed in the project instructions. The buildings you mapped could be improved by tracing them more precise. | 125745413 | over 3 years ago | Hi, you requested a review of your mappings. Most of your buildings are quite well mapped. They are reasonably precise and square. There are a few that have unsquare corners, maybe you forgot to press the q key after tracing. Or you maybe were fooled by the surrounding vegetation. That makes a building look unsquare, while in actuality it is not. Thanks for your cooperation and regards, Martien, HOT Global Validator
