Hi,
Thanks for your edit.

Turn restrictions are mapped as relations in OSM: osm.wiki/Relation:restriction

Otherwise, routing apps don't know "from where to where" the restriction applies.

Happy mapping!

Looks like a mistake. I've removed the tags from the nodes. changeset/146177204

Hi,
Is this section of the motorway really called "Sava"?

Hi Ana,

Thanks for joining OSM. You seem to have a made a mistake here: You tagged all the nodes of the bathing area instead of only tagging the way that is made up by these nodes.

What do you mean by "better"?

There is a consensus that we map things only if they can be verified on the ground. If there aren't any visible remains, it should not be on OSM: osm.wiki/Good_practice#Don't_map_historic_events_and_historic_features

See also "Such features will still have some physical form reflective of their former use visible in the landscape." in the documentation of the abandoned:* prefix: abandoned:*=*#Description

Hi,

This part of the railway seems to be completely gone with no visible traces anymore. Can it be removed from the map?

I faintly remember that there is a quest in Street Complete which does this. But I don't know of any tools in JOSM or iD or a web browser GUI.

True, it would be nice to have an online map explorer that highlights outdated check_date and opening_date tags. You could ask on the community forum.

Hi Badojo,

You've mapped way around way/1208019773 as a dual carriageway. Imagery shows that there is no physical separation between the two directions; hence, it should be mapped as only one carriage way. Has this recently changed to a dual-carriageway or is this a mapping mistake?

No response.

Reverting to turn:lanes=through|through|right .

Hi,

Correct would be to keep the type of highway:

highway=construction
construction=tertiary

I've just done that.

Happy mapping!

Hi,

After your change, the values of lanes=3 + turn:lanes=through|through are inconsistent.

Which one is correct?
lanes=2 + turn:lanes=through|through
or
lanes=3 + turn:lanes=through|through|right

?

It is generally agreed upon in the community that OpenStreetMap is a project where we map the ground truth: "map the world as it can be observed by someone physically there"
osm.wiki/How_We_Map

We want things to be verifiable on the ground. "others can go there and see for themselves if your data is correct"

Should your project once turn into construction work, you can map it as railway under construction (because then someone else can go there and see that a railway is being constructed there). Before that, it is not something real.

It is a common mistake of beginners to map historical features or fictional future features (often things we wish would be there, but aren't).

Hi,
Welcome to Openstreetmap.

We don't map things that don't exist (yet).

Hi,

I hope you're enjoying your trip!

Just a reminder that it's good practice to keep changesets small or otherwise take extra care to give them names that also others can understand.

Happy cycling!

Thanks for the reply. I don't know which date this implies, so I'm leaving the building on the map.

Hi,

When you change the highway type from track to pedestrian, you can remove foot=designated, as this is implied.

144625411 about 2 years ago

Hi,

We do not map things that don't exist (yet). Also, the tagging is wrong: "yes" is not a landuse type and "rekonstrukcija nadvoza" is not a name but a description. You can find more information in the wiki.

I'm reverting this.

Hi, some of the buildings you've mapped don't show up on the 2022 Ljubljana orthophoto. What is the date of the imagery that you've used?

Hi,
You changed this way way/1171322111 from highway=pedestrian to highway=footway. But there is a bus going along this way. I'm changing it back to highway=pedestrian

Cheers

Hi,
Thanks for you contribution.

In OSM, we do not map separate traffic lanes if they are not physically separated. Likewise, we do not map foot and cycle tracks separately, if there is not physical separation.
Instead, map them as highway=path + foot=designated + bicycle=designated + segregated=yes

Check out the wiki for more information: osm.wiki/Bicycle#Cycle_features

Cheers
