Changeset When Comment
139946790 about 2 years ago

Hey,

I'm reverting your change for the following reasons.
1) It is unclear what you intended to do. The changeset comment "okay" does not provide much information on your intentions.
2) Your tagging seems erratic: You tagged way/39728039 and way/39728039 with access=yes. It is unclear what's the value of this tag. It is implied on most highways and certainly on highway=secondary. You tagged way/1184995468 with access=no. This is very broad. Can pedestrians not pass here? What about bikes? In additions, you use the construction=minor tag on the same way. The wiki says this is of roads which remain open during construction. This contradicts your access=no tag.

It would be useful if you familiarize yourself with basic OSM conventions. It appears to me that you are trying to "tune" the map to your own needs without having any genuine interest in the project.

Openstreetmap is a map by the public for the public. Changes on the map should be improvements to everybody, not just to yourself. This requires a minimal degree of willingness to collaborate with the community.

Hi,
You've made Rjava cesta a oneway road where it crosses the motorway. This looks like a mistake to me. I'm reverting it. Please let me know if I'm wrong here.

Thanks a lot for swift action.

What about that closed=yes tag?

139661225 over 2 years ago

Also, are you aware the bicyle=yes overrides access=no on way/225051694? This means that you can pass the bridge by bike but not by any other means of transport (not even by foot). Is this correct?

My questions are sincere -- I do not know the actual situation on the ground.

Hi,

Thanks a lot for updating the map.

I've noticed that you use the undocumented closed=yes tag. I'm wondering what's the meaning of the tag and which additional information does it add in combination with the access=no and damage:date=* tags that you use on the same objects?

Hi,

Welcome to OSM!

It seems that you've accidentally moved this node: node/9001431437

As a consequence, this embankment got weirdly distroted: way/931166949

This is just to notify you so you have a chance to avoid similar mistakes in the future. :-)

Thanks for your contribution. Happy mapping!

Hi,
Tagging nodes connecting different highways with junction=yes and nothing else is discouraged. I'm thus removing the tag from node/4450443319

Hi,
Thanks for adding sidewalks. When doing so, please remember to:
- connect footways to other ways
- If you map sidewalks on either side of the road (or if the road has a sidewalk on only one side): add sidewalk=separate and foot=use_sidepath tags to the carriageway
- add footway=sidewalk and name=* to the sidewalk

Happy mapping!

Hi again,

You've added a lot of cycle infrastructure here, great!

On cycleways, it is important to add the oneway=yes tag when they are only usable in one way. Otherwise, routing apps will direct the user on ways that they are not allowed to use in their direction. You have to make sure, the way points in the correct direction when doing that.

A good practice is it to always map sidewalks and cycle tracks on the right hand side of the road in forward direction and on the left hand side in backward direction (except in countries with opposite traffic flow, obviously).

I think there is no urgency to remove them.

But yeah, they shouldn't be there, so probably good to remove them in the long run.

Hi,

Welcome to Openstreetmap -- help is always much appreciated.

A couple of things to get started:

1) Try to make small changesets so people can understand what you do.

2) Don't do changes that you don't understand (yet).

Some things are straightforward in OSM, for example creating normal buildings

Other concepts are rather complicated and require a lot of experience with OSM, for example public transport routes.

Try to start easy and build up skill gradually. You made some changes to bus routes which seem incorrect, for example you added the tag public_transport:version=2 to relation/7489858 But this tag is wrong (the route does not adhere to the PTv2 standard osm.wiki/w/index.php?oldid=1550843)

Anyways, welcome once more and happy mapping!

It seems you've just forgot oneway:bicycle=no and oneway:bus=no

For example this one: relation/13133202

Hi,

You made Poljanska cesta a one-way street. However, there are currently bus relations passing from east to west through this section of the street.

Is your one-way tag a mistake or have the bus routes changed recently?

Hi,

"I have a spreadsheet of the changes that I do in Openstreet maps and the dates when construction should end."

When should the construction end for Ižanska?

Hey,
You mapped a path along this beach here, which is disconnected between
way/857784753
and
way/642175978

Can you help with this note maybe?

Hey,

The result of the poll suggest that the community quite clearly discourages adding address tags on rental stations. (Although I erroneously asked about bike rental stations, I assume that the same goes for car rental stations)

You could start a thread in the forum and find out whether an address scheme like informal:addr:street=* + informal:addr:housenumber=* would get more support. (I don't currently have the capacity to do this, sorry)

106040425 over 2 years ago

Hi,

Is this bike rental station distinct from node/8712805703 ?

Looks like there is only a non-public delivery parking at this location, no bike rental.
