Changeset When Comment

hi, I'm not sure how you did this, but by "squaring" already squared buildings (what you actually did was making them larger), you added redundant nodes. like at ways 1080635166, 1080635165, 1080635163.
in this case I think your edit made things slightly worse, so much slightly that I'm not going to fix it back.

@notoncebut2x got already in contact, and he told us that he would double check and inquire and suggest corrective actions. since the effect was not measurable, I'm asking you validators directly. now your comment sounds as informing us that the user in charge of this organized editing is @notoncebut2x.

anyhow, this organized editing project still has no wiki page, while the community topic is at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/how-do-youthmappers-teachosm/5501/. I started the topic on 2022-11-15, that's 12 weeks ago.

hi. Any chance for us people involved in mapping this region to get in contact with any of you YouthMappers validators?

(later addition: please attempt to tag according to function, or to put the description in the 'description' field, not as a descriptive 'name'.) (if you need assistance, do inquire, here or on the community.osm.org site.)

hi there, welcome to OSM and thank you for adding these paths. if you can confirm that someone walking there must cross the river on foot, you can add a node at the intersection and tag it as ford: ford=yes

I won't edit because I can't tell what you have seen. ;-)

(hi again, thank you for your contributions. please do try to write more telling changeset descriptions. check the wiki for a more complete explanation: osm.wiki/Good_changeset_comments)

please check hazard=*, possibly osm.wiki/Tag%3Ahazard%3Dlandslide

hola TheJediMapp3r, I noticed your contributions for the amount of "name" fields you have provided. checking what values you had provided, I see that they are mostly descriptive names. would you try to process them yourself, please? descriptive names should be avoided, because only humans can peruse them. they should be converted to the correct labelling, or failing that, put into a description. thank you for helping OSM become ever more complete!

120632802 almost 3 years ago

131488531 almost 3 years ago

in the area there's the microsoft buildings footprint layer. have you considered using it and with your local chapter focus on interpreting and tagging for function?

131753801 almost 3 years ago

hi. a hint when choosing a highway classification: roads leading to small premises like the two you created here do not fall in the "unclassified" category. possibly residential? or service like driveway?

hi, thank you for helping correcting the geographic information added by this local YM chapter. some of us within OSM (not participating to these organized edits) wonder how YM teach OSM to their members, as the hashtags #teachosm-project-1484 and 1486 suggest. I'm inviting (with very limited success) you reviewers to join the discussion at https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/how-do-youthmappers-teachosm/5501/

131709116 almost 3 years ago
