I had a look at the 301863751 road and yes it does look bad. :-D
in Panama we recently had contributions by the #adt, adding a huge amount of nodes to specify coastlines that aren't correctly defined (so their work is incredibly precise, but not correct).
I don't know if your focus is on maximising metric precision, or on improving connectivity. I assumed the latter. I'm sorry it sounded like "complaining", it was an attempt to alert you about the issue.
(it was this post: https://shtosm-ru.translate.goog/all/milliard/?_x_tr_sch=http&_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=EN&_x_tr_hl=es-419&_x_tr_pto=nui)

oh, as usual I assume things are obvious. these two roads are respectively 542m and 632m long, using respectively 58 and 82 nodes. that's more than one node every 10m. if your organization is concerned with connecting places, not only you don't need this, but you are also putting a strain on the OSM database (incidentally, the last OSM-weekly has links regarding the finite numberspace in our database).
if you use JOSM-simplify way, set at 0.3m, they become respectively 40 and 59 nodes.
for your needs you probably want to set the property to 0.5, or more.
it's the `simplify-way.max-error` setting in JOSM.

an informal place for finding help is the Telegram group https://t.me/OpenStreetMapOrg
or you can try the forum site https://forum.openstreetmap.org/

not first hand, but I've heard good things about Organic Maps. just make sure it works on the live data, not from a snapshot, or you're back with maps.me sync problem.

"not straight away", he said!

osm.wiki/Go_Map!!
(I have no experience with them obviously)

thanks for the feedback you know! it's uncommon of maps.me mappers. :-)

112974204 about 4 years ago

ok, I'll remove the information board then. that's something that happens often with maps.me mappers, adding duplicate information.

I think I did attempt to contact them some time ago. we can't copy from the copyrighted Google Maps, so I generally don't even review it for comparison. if you were in the area, you could ask them to provide you with a map of their premises, and ask for permission to copy. or you could walk their paths and map them yourself. as I did at the Tanager.

OSMGo! might indeed be only for Android. (developing for Apple is expensive, so it's difficult to produce gratis software. me for one, I never considered it.)
I will check the wiki for you, or ask in some groups. not straight away, though. :-)

(did you map it yourself, or you copied it from Google Maps?)
so it has no name, right? we just need to tag it properly. I'll check it, if you don't want to experiment with StreetComplete and study the Wiki.

I'm asking, because you mapped an information board. the island is already there with its name.

'Isla Uvita' … you created it as a point of tourist information. but you didn't map the path to reach it. it looks a bit curious.

hola, gracias por la descripción tan detallada para el objeto. thanks for the detailed description for the object. it does need to be translated into the right tags. do you still remember if the place had a proper name?

hi. stumbled upon your contribution here. maybe the MSF team wants to review their policy on amount of nodes necessary to draw roads? I'm not going to change anything, so you can reconsider: Chemin : 949403062,

about the detour, that's what Rick Morales observed and recorded when he visited David (@Rick%20Morales/traces/3818747): both northbound and southbound routes take that loop, both clockwise. we do not have bus stop positions.

hi. this is an area where we see very little updates, so mapping missing objects referred to maps.me should be OK. more in general, have you considered StreetComplete, or OsmGo!? they let you see the most up-to-date situation for the area you intend to improve.
¡¡thanks for adding tourism information in the area!!

(le comento sólo por ser usted responsable de un grupo de maperos.)
