hola Alvarado2510. acuérdate que el "name" está reservado al nombre propio de la cosa. los pastos ahí en la zona parece que todos se llamen "Ganadería". así como si en tu cédula apareciera como nombre "Hombre". busca en el wiki por favor.

then something that would be of very high impact (in my opinion) is to follow rivers (mapped or unmapped) and add buildings (isolated or grouped). if you see a group of buildings you can add a place=hamlet, from 30-40 buildings it would probably be a village. adding landuse=residential is less relevant IMO. blue roofs are generally schools, but not always.

The point that I am trying to make: please do not reclassify roads that were classified by a local person, unless you have visited it in person, or if you have a fair understanding of and familiarity with the place. Always first check with any local community.

(there's lots of things you can do as a remote mapper, to help OSM in Panamá. joining road segments and reclassifying objects are not among them. adding houses in rural areas is a much better idea, or exploring unmapped areas and adding roads as unclassified or path, as we've mentioned in the Telegram group from time to time. or come to the group and let's compare your mapping preferences with the local mappers and the available information.)

if you're just interpreting aerial pictures and changing classification based on how the road looks like: that's very likely a bad idea outside urbanised USA and Europe.

hola. **why** did you change the classification of roads tagged as residential to agricultural track or unspecified service? the previous classification was done by a local mapper.

it's not "me" who does not "want" you to do that, it's me showing you the consequences of a bad practice. there's communities which split roads at intersections systematically, as they're mapping them at version:1. here *and elsewhere* draw roads as you prefer, but DO NOT JOIN segments of already existing roads.

I wrote a diary page related to this (@mariotomo/diary/397428), and who knows, HOT might be feeling the pressure, or they're simply putting some order by their own initiative. On the other hand, we're approaching the yearly GIS Day (an Esri event) and this is always a trigger for YouthMappers. We will see.
