hi, thanks, sometimes they slip through the fingers. this happens when I use the `x` (create areas tool), but I haven't yet tried to reproduce the situation: "edit a building; create the error; commit without JOSM alerting me". I think it has to do with extruding a non-square building and squaring it afterwards.

If it bears no sign of 4wheel traffic, maybe path. Do try to get comments from local people in the group.

In short, if it looks like "track", and it connects settlements, it better be tagged as unclassified unpaved.

my interpretation of mapping according to function is that Roads connecting settlements to each other and to the main road network are not "track". Moreover, here in Panama, roads that have been designed to serve agriculture and logging are closed for other traffic, and only very occasionally manage to develop as part of the road network.

hi, an old changeset, but I see you're still in Kaart … it's about the 6ta, 8va, 9na numbering style. can we talk about it?

(in particular, I hope you will consider risturiz' hint: »pero como no soy de la zona eso lo dejo a los locales«.)

erickdeoliveiraleal, your screenshots do not explain why this should be a rural track, I would more think of unclassified or residential, but for a better understanding please refer to the exchange at changeset/112041646 & changeset/112016361

from your user page, I see the link on the Brazilian logic to classify roads, Páginas importantes: Como classificar uma via?
1) you don't seem to be following many of the rules-of-thumb in that page.
2) you are here mapping Panama, and the page makes repeated reference to the Brazilian characteristics and organization.
3) you did not make any attempt at talking with the local users.

please get in contact with the local community before you start doing remote interpretation of road function.
this edit is not helpful.

this is not helping.
please get in contact with the community.
the previous mapper had agreed 'path' with the local community, leaving the task for interpretation to us.

todavía esperándote.
volví a este conjunto de cambios porque veo 'highway=track' que sin entrar en los cultivos cruzan y conectan poblados.

112240555 about 4 years ago

99186859 about 4 years ago

hola. whenever you have time to (virtually) come back to Panamá, would you mind reviewing your highway=track, at least those in residential areas? maybe also those connecting villages?
as said elsewhere: map according to function.
if in doubt, ask the local community.

can happen. I also occasionally forget to commit things, start mapping elsewhere, and end with a large changeset area. a more explicit changeset comment may help in such cases.

hola Trevor. when you happen to see things like this (a whole neighbourhood criss-crossed by highway=track), you may alert the local community through the group, or you can simply correct the error.
it is a bad translation of the local term "trocha", whereas the function is obviously residential. I suggest (it's just my suggestion) that if you see traces of wheels, or if you judge the path broad enough, that you use 'residential' (with the corresponding 'surface'), and if it's far too narrow, use 'path'.

hola, porqué le quitaste el nombre "Río Abajo" a la quebrada? aquí la gente acostumbra llamar "río" a cualquier cosa en que corra agua.
