Changeset When Comment

hi. I've noticed elsewhere, a difficulty by beginner mappers is editing things made by others, and outdated. in your case, you added buildings crossing a barrier=wall (which isn't there any more). are you learning mapping alone, or is someone assisting you?

hi youthmapper. who's in charge of reviewing the work produced by mappers learning how to map, and to provide feedback? please do keep learning and enjoying mapping! I'm going to fix some of the geometries, and I will mention my changeset here, so you can look at it as a hint.

may I remind you of your promise "next time better"? changeset/114819106
since that changeset you have added 2 changesets with empty comment, and more than 170 "mapeando".

hi. did you understand my above comment? do you intend to fix the mistake yourself? again, do you need help? are you mapping on your own this time?

hola. I was checking your contributions in reverse order. sorry for writing in Spanish in the other comment … anyhow, thanks again for all this information, definitely useful! about the amenity=ice_cream, I wasn't aware of it, I generally use cafe specializing in ice cream. but indeed some only serve ice cream!
amenity=ice%20cream?uselang=en

dear Eric, I know how to check the content of a changeset, that's not the problem. the point is that you aren't presenting your intentions. your 40338 changeset contain 739 "no comment" changesets, and only 960 different explanations, with average length 12.00.

114819106 about 4 years ago

would you please, really, please make a minimal effort at presenting your changesets to fellow mappers? sería posible?

114542723 about 4 years ago

hola. escribes "revisión de etiquetas", pero osmcha dice »No tags were changed in this changeset.«

maybe, that is until we understand how to use maps.me to complete the information of existing objects, it might be worth considering contributing your names as notes. an other option might be adding a 'fixme' to your new "duplicated" object, clearly stating it is meant as an enhancement to something already existing.
I'm not a user of maps.me, so I can't provide you with better hints. if I were you, I would check with some of the community resources. https://forum.openstreetmap.org, https://help.openstreetmap.org,

replying to my last above comment, johanemilsson pointed me at this resource: https://osmdata.openstreetmap.de/data/water-polygons.html

you see: unless we manage to get access to the IGNTG maps, the only trustworthy sources are the Spanish text of the "gaceta". they are often difficult to decipher. I think the only reasonable thing to do is to forget about it until OSM gets access to the official data in digital format. please do not edit stuff just to make the map look better, "smoother" as you say. sometimes ((very) often) official borders are edgy.

93034874 about 4 years ago

p.s.: this you're mentioning is a **very** old source, January 1984 is almost 38 years ago, and is relative to the Colón Province, while here we're looking at a border in the Pacific, between two provinces along a border established in January 2014, not yet 8 years ago. so again: what source did you use here?

93034874 about 4 years ago

I see. for such public domain sources, have you considered using a map warper service? like https://mapwarper.net/

93034874 about 4 years ago

indeed, one »can't revert changesets unless they were the last changeset to edit something«, no matter which tool you use. JOSM offers partial reverting, which is a time intensive operation.
(what official maps? you did not mention them in the sources. remember we do not have permission to use maps from the IGNTG, we can only read laws and process the text description.)
