Hello mackboat,
You seem to place one house on top of another in this edit of yours.
Could you correct that?

On behalf of the DWG I have contacted jamesks about the edits done in Spain (and other countries), asking him to get/stay in contact with the Spanish user community and to adhere to the agreements they have reached.
Also I asked him to make a start of improving his previous edits and not leave that to others.

[Google translate:]

Your changeset comments ("made new changes") are not very clear to other mappers. Could you describe in more detail (for every upload you do), what your changes were?

Glad to see that others are also most annoyed by the way jamesks is adding highways (among other objects) to the Spanish map. For more than a year now I have been adding mostly landuse and highways in the area south-east of Toledo and while doing so, more than I liked I came accross the way that jamesks was adding highway=track to the map, based (mostly) on strava heatmaps, but not paying any attention to PNOA or the Catastro to make his edits more secure. In the beginning I started to move the nodes to the correct position, but later on I decided to simply remove his edits and just started drawing them completely new. My most recent changeset was yesterday:
changeset/87782352
And I recently commented on a much older changeset of his:
changeset/69576473

I think that jamesks' way of mapping is not correct and only gives twice the work: first he is adding in the wrong way and than leaves it to others to fix the mess.
To help me locate his edits for highway=track, I created this overpass:
http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/VEK.
You can easily adopt it to find other objects done by jamesks.
My hope is:
1. that jamesks will adopt to the preferred way of mapping, paying attention to reliable sources and a more reliabe way of mapping
2. that jamesks will help us to cleanup the mess he has left for us

Again I deleted quite a few of the original imported tracks because it was faster to draw them again than to try to move all the wrong nodes from the import.

Overigens krijg ik met de instellingen uit de link hierboven Strava wel werkend, en met de link van commodoortje niet. (Verschil tms[15] of tms[3,15]) ?

Ik zie in deze link (die overigens alle stappen zeer goed uitlegt:
https://nuxx.net/blog/2020/05/24/high-resolution-strava-global-heatmap-in-josm/
dat je een betaald abo moet hebben voor strava om die heatmap te laten werken. Is dat zo commodoortje?

(Is het trouwens niet beter om deze hele discussie op het forum te voeren?)
