Changeset When Comment

Wrong source: should be "MapThePaths (Gloucestershire) OGL licenced data; Bing; OSMUK Cadastral Parcels"

Lack of comment was user error (hit enter in JOSM by accident!), this edit is because a private motorised gate has been fitted to the service road with a stile to one side for public footpath walkers.

Thank you for the correction! I was looking at old photographs and trying to line them up with features still visible like the bridges. Happy to fix this.

This changeset mainly affects the Devonport House site in Keynsham. However, I also accidentally included some speed tables in Wickwar which were intended for a separate changeset - hence the very large covered area. The data itself is good and represents ground truth, they just got lumped together by mistake. Apologies

Can do in about a week - away from JOSM at the moment - will get back to you on this!

Added to JOSM and... wow. I can't believe this is open data, this'll make mapping SO much easier. Thank you very much!!

Morning, apologies, I was just eyeballing junction alignments where the cycleway crossed - didn't mean to disrupt your existing roads!
The Land Registry base setup sounds impressive. How does that work?

Hello there! Just wondering why the town boundary excludes the church and a narrow strip around Parklands - is there a reason for this detail? Thank you!

Hello Ashok! Thanks for your work mapping HOTOSM Project 8823! However be aware some of the satellite imagery is out of date such as Bing (loaded in the iD editor by default). For this project, Maxar Premium is more up to date. You can change the image background in the menu on the right hand side of your screen. I appreciate your help!

I won't do a conventional revert because the ways didn't match - half of the road was King's, the other half Kings - but noted about ground truth, will edit all ways again to suit

74484473 over 6 years ago

@DaveF the signs do say "Kings Rd" without an apostrophe, but is that definitive if OS OpenData disagrees? I think I've read about councils unilaterally ordering new road signs without apostrophes so I'm not sure which to go with now! What does the community recommend?

Thanks for this! I just uploaded a big changeset further building on this previous one - resolved a few node position conflicts by accepting yours. Hopefully all good now. Matt

sounds easy enough - I'll double check next time I'm nearby. Will update!

Not sure, I found it by visiting and physically laying eyes on it; how would I find that out? Happy to take a closer look
