| 4729181 | igor2 | abandoned railway, way #83912563: I can not see any of the tracks on any of the imagery. I've tried to follow it on the sats from end to end. There are sections where brand new buildings are built and if there were any tracks they were surely removed. There are sections where I see footways/paths, and it may be there are tracks still lingering. But the bridge over the channel here is clearly missing. I think it should be changed from abandoned to destroyed, or railway=razed or remapped as a relation over existing roads and footways or maybe just removed from the database (we should map the present, not the past, but that may make some abandoned railway sites workign from the osm database sad). The osm wiki seems to be down, here's a reddit discussion about the topic: https://www.reddit.com/r/openstreetmap/comments/1g26upf/removal_of_abandoned_railway/ My vote is for tagging it razed. |
