almost 4 years ago | All these turn lanes destination things: shouldnt they be done at the traffic light intersections instead? Besides, the destinations should correspond to *posted* signboards, as per wiki.
about 4 years ago | do we have "Temerloh Patin River Cages"? Really?
about 4 years ago | why are you changing residential roads to service roads?
about 4 years ago | Thanks. That leads me to MyGeoName portal which hopefully will be kind enough to answer my inquiries on a few things.
| 97989958 | about 4 years ago | Well, I am from Pahang. All the time I've heard the name Paya Bongo (local slang for Bungur) but didn't really know if and when it officially changed to Tasik Bungur. There's no signboard either if IIRC. Seems among the local these lowland 'lakes' is always just referred to Paya xxx. i.e Paya Tualang (a lake sized marsh).

about 4 years ago | Regarding the separation, the only reason I mentioned you because one of it has only your name (at least perhaps a small portion). I'll take a look at fixing it. The general rule of the restriction is not to apply traffic laws to a map, rather it is pointing out restrictions that may help the driver using osm-based navigation app. Hence also the issue with separated roads due to solid double line, drivers are already supposed to know not to cross the line and adjust to an app navigation instructions when trying to turn right. Anyways, welcome to OSM and sorry for the seemingly accusative tone. And resist the temptation from copying Google! :)
about 4 years ago | Where did you get the name for Tasik Bungur? Or other surrounding tasik?
about 4 years ago | Why is Jalan Thean Teik separated? What's with the no u-turn restrictions on residential roads such as Jalan Taman Thean Teik 1? This is a no-brainer that shouldn't be mapped.
about 4 years ago | Apparently, there is a tag for these 'mini man made forests'. landcover=trees. Shrouded in controversy (rendering wise), but after hours of reading arguments about it, I personally find it to be the perfect solution. Similar to landuse=grass, always rubs me the wrong way. Anyways.. just my 2cents.
about 4 years ago | No biggie. It's like being a noob in any online game, best to look around and get the feel of the play before going gung-ho - always results with the best experience. check dm.
about 4 years ago | In short, yes. Look at existing mapped roads by the locals to see how we apply service road tags. Then compare to how many that has been changed by non-local paid mappers. You guys didn't have a walk through about mapping style in Malaysia before just jumping in?
about 4 years ago | You ever checked local mapping convention before start changing everything to service road? hmm?
about 4 years ago | Where do you get the name Tarun Broga? There is Kampung Tarun with unknown boundaries, but there sure isn't Tarun Broga anywhere.
over 4 years ago | You really think there is a forest near the toll booth?

over 4 years ago | seems my comment was swallowed by Opera data saving server: Since I was young, half a century ago, these kind of shops are referred to supermarket, from 99sen sized to the TF Value Mart size in Mentakab, Pahang (the original name was Pahang Supermarket). 99sen itself is not small, it occupies a minimum of 2 shop lots. 7-11 is convenience store, kedai runcit I don't know, but 99sen is definitely not a variety store.
