Hi Jeffrey, street imagery shows that Sushitown still exists at this location. Has it been closed recently? It looks like the Greek restaurant and sushi restaurant should be adjacent instead of one replacing the other.

Thanks,
Joel

Hey Paul, welcome to OpenStreetMap.

Thanks for adding these house traces. Just a small tip: if you select a shape and hit the 'Q' key, it will automatically make the corners squared.

Thanks,
Joel

Seems to look good. Thanks.

Nice details!

I recommend not combining buildings with multiple parts into a single shape. For example, if the building is a tower and pedestal design, it's best to draw these separately. way/717937440 , for example now appears as if the whole pedestal is 26 levels instead of just the tower portion.

Thanks,
Joel

You tagged a number of businesses as banks, is this right?

Oh excellent. Thanks for clarifying.

Hi, from my understanding, mapping turn lanes in this way is not recommended. Instead, check out the "turn:lanes=" tag. Just thought I'd give you a heads up.

In the Vancouver and Burnaby areas, I have been removing turn lanes that have been drawn as separate ways and replacing them with this tag. The only instance where I have been drawing them separately is when they are divided by a curb or barrier.

turn=*#Turning_indications_per_lane

Hi Andrew,

I'm not sure what the "andrew1" area is supposed to be. This is a public edit, did you intend it to be private?

Thanks,
Joel

How about leisure=swimming_pool, swimming_pool=wading, seasonal=summer ?

This is a floating dock and not an island, is place=island appropriate?

👍 It may be worth separating the name= into name:en= and name:zh=

Different things
boundary=aboriginal_lands
vs
place=hamlet

https://apps.gov.bc.ca/pub/bcgnws/names/73722.html

If someone with local knowledge wants to add the place tag, they can. I just don't have the knowledge to do so.

I believe it is both the community and the stream that are renamed.

https://apps.gov.bc.ca/pub/bcgnws/names/73741.html

I couldn't find any nodes on the map for the community so didn't change the community name. I didn't want to assume where the community is so didn't add a new node either.

Looks good! Adding the city and province is unnecessary since these nodes are already located within the city/provincial boundaries

What is the value in these additional nodes? I generally delete any additional nodes along a straight line because I don't see the need but if they provide some value I will make sure not to.

Thanks for your edits. Great stuff, keep it up!

Great details you have been adding, thanks!

Heads up that we normally tag sidewalk=separate instead of side=both if it has been separately drawn, like in this case

Thanks, I see your edit splitting these nodes.

I should mention: be careful when using StreetView as a reference for editing - see [https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/710/can-i-use-google-streetview-to-help-create-maps]("Can I use Google StreetView to help create maps?")
