I think it's really cool that we have the paths around here laid out as areas (pedestrian areas). I just updated the paths that cross the Sunken Gardens to match (previously they were mismatched).

What is the best way to map these staircases down into the Gardens? My best guess was to use the tag area:highway=steps, but I'd like someone to review this.

If my guess was correct, we need to add highway=steps ways along the centerlines of each of these stairways, as described here:
area:highway=steps#Tagging_mistakes_to_avoid

At the end of the day, I hope we can make the W&M campus friendlier to OSM routing applications.
