If I edit without commenting it's possible a user will keep making the same mistake over the time. Also, you changed it from place=peak to place=hamlet, so I would have made a mistake changing it to natural=peak without asking you. That's why a prefer asking to the changeset's author when I have doubts since they have better knowledge than me about what they mapped.
