If you get really into OSM, I would suggest that after you get the hang of potlatch you give a more advanced editor like JOSM a shot. I found that it was much faster and easier after you figured out the basics!

Yeah I second that. Gatekeeper is really a content control system, another way that apple is trying to get dominance through their app store. They can’t create a completely closed appsystem as they have with their iOS products but they are going to go down trying with their desktop software now too. All I can say is thank goodness I run linux!

That makes a lot more sense! Thanks, I’d never actually tried potlatch for more than the occasional minor edit, being an avid JOSM user. I’ll have to go check it out.

Just make sure you only name them from memory, no using pre-made maps :)
