OpenStreetMap would rather have correct data in its database than a single correct rendering of the map data. In this specific case, this object is a sports pitch for American football. It is not a water reservoir. Yes, the default map style on osm.org renders pitches with a green color, but if color is important to you, then the correct thing to do is to set up your own rendering pipeline and render the field using the desired color. |
| 153092186 | over 1 year ago | Hi! Please be aware that OSM mappers are not allowed to use Google Street View images while mapping.

| 152521431 | over 1 year ago | Oh yep, I forgot to mention that I had resolved the issue. Thanks for checking! Keep up the great work, thank you for making changes to the map. |
| 152521431 | over 1 year ago | Hi there! Thanks for improving the map. Please note that when we trace buildings we want to trace the *base* of the building, not the roof line. Some of the adjustments you made to these building outlines moved the building away from the base to the roofline. When imagery is taken off-center and projected onto the flat map, the building will appear to "lean". More information about this effect can be seen here: osm.wiki/Roof_modelling#Typical_errors_in_the_interpretation_of_roof_geometry_from_aerial_images Also, it's very useful to add entrance information, but there are specific tags for that and the information shouldn't be left in the "name" field. Please look for the "Entrance" preset in the map editor and put the address information in there instead. |
| 152126170 | over 1 year ago | Hello! Thanks for coming through Minnesota and making these changes. A couple comments, though: 1. The text you added as "name" tags should probably have gone in the "official_name". The roads aren't primarily signed using these names and aren't used in everyday conversation about these highways.

| 60418563 | over 1 year ago | A tailor does more work than just alterations, but from the perspective of using existing OSM tagging it probably makes sense to use craft=tailor. |
| 150861776 | over 1 year ago | Ok done! Let me know if you run into any issues. |
| 150861776 | over 1 year ago | Typically we improve the existing data rather than deleting everything and remapping. You're likely encountering the rate limiting because of deleting so many elements as a new user. If I revert all your deletions, you could improve the existing data and encounter less rate limiting. Let me know if that's of interest to you.

| 60418563 | over 1 year ago | In the context of a shop, "alterations" is a common English (both British and English) word meaning to alter clothing for a better fit. |
| 150149112 | over 1 year ago | There was just a duplicate building. No worries! |
| 150149112 | over 1 year ago | Hi! I'm also mapping this town, so please make sure to grab the latest data before continuing to map so that we don't create duplicates. |
| 149732165 | over 1 year ago | Please confirm that you aren't copying address data from Bing Maps. We can use their satellite layer to trace, but we can't copy address data from other mapping providers. |
| 149735926 | over 1 year ago | Hello! Thanks for making a change to the map. Please note that the route you added already exists and is routeable by bikes. Is there a particular app you're using that isn't suggesting this connection? |
