I noticed you are adding a lot of sauna places all over Europe.

I would like to ask you to put more effort into the precise placement of the POI into the appropriate building as I even ran across some POI located on a road.

Second, I would like to ask you for the source of the data you are adding. Have you visited all those places personally?

Third, I do strongly recommend to use an actual editor like iD or JOSM to edit the OSM database to avoid double entries and other problems associated with offline mapping software.

Please be so kind to answer these questions.

Thanks for your quick reply. Yes, I think the only ones usable are building=* and name=*. For reference on OSM tagging check the wiki on osm.wiki/Main_Page. I noticed a lot of other buildings still have a bunch of import data on them which is quite useless, as other software (like navigation etc) will not understand the data. Also I can recommend the OSM forum http://forum.openstreetmap.org/index.php for further "input".

Ich habe gesehen, daß Du Informationen zu OSM hinzugefügt hast, was sehr gut ist. Bitte denke daran, daß die hinzugefügten Daten nach dem OSM-Wiki (osm.wiki/Main_Page) getaggt werden müssen, damit sie für andere Menschen nutzbar gemacht werden können. Ansonsten kann Software, die die Einträge nutzen möchte, diese nicht lesen.

In diesem Fall der Wasserturm bereits als Relation in der Datenbank vorhanden. Sei deshalb bitte nicht böse, wenn ich Deinen Eintrag wieder lösche. Denke auch daran, das name=* Tag nur für Eigennamen zu verwenden.

Wenn Du weiterhin Lust hast, bei OSM mitzuarbeiten, würde ich Dir empfehlen, einen richtigen Editor wie iD oder am besten JOSM zu verwenden. maps.me ist zum Editieren keine gute Idee, da es nicht den aktuellen Stand der Datenbank abbildet und es somit oft zu Doppeleintragungen und anderen Problemen kommt.

Can you please check way/438420886? There seems to be a lot of non-OSM data on that building. Could you remove that in order to make it fit into the OSM tagging scheme?

Also: East of Rogers Hall there is a shape with no tagging at all. Could you add tagging to it or remove the shape if obsolete?

No problem :-) I can do the revert for you if you like. Did you change any of the data which was included in 41689888? That would make things more complicated... If not, I am using a plugin for JOSM to do it. Just let me know!

Bonjour Violaine! Mon français est pas bon, malheureusement. Si vous voulez continuer à utiliser les autres arbres, il est préférable de ne pas revenir le changeset. Ensuite, toutes les données seraient partis. Peut-être que vous pouvez les deux arbres facilement ajusté de sorte qu'ils sont étiquetés comme les autres. Était-ce une importation?

I don't know if you started underground mapping yet, but if you like, you can check layer=* and level=* to avoid confusion on the map. Maybe you can look at some other big cities which have it mapped that way. That also enables 3D maps later on.

Mmmmh, not answer after three weeks... This is not the way it works here at OSM, which is a collaborative project and in turn needs some communication!

anbr hat nur das fehlende maxspeed=* hinzugefügt, aber das doppelte Vorhandensein nicht gesehen. Wahrscheinlich war er speziell auf der Suche nach highway=speedcamera ohne maxspeed=*. Das description hätte er entfernen können, da nicht notwendig. Lediglich maxspeed=* wird ausgewertet. Ich lösche den node eben schnell. Oliver

Ich schon wieder :-)

Ich würde Dir wirklich nahe legen, Wheelmap nicht zu verwenden, um OSM Daten zu verändern. Hier way/373024634 hast Du damit leider Dinge verändert, die so wie sie waren, richtig waren. Es handelt sich um einen Raum innerhalb eines Gebäudes (dies wird beim sogenannten Indoor-Mapping verwendet). Bitte gucke Dir, bevor Du Dinge veränderst, die über das Wheelchair Mapping hinausgehen genau an, an welchem Objekt Du arbeitest. Das Tag name=* war in diesem Fall die Bezeichung des Raumes innerhalb des Gebäudes. Das gesamte Gebäude ist hingegen mit Cartesium getaggt und auch noch als Relation vorhanden. Deshalb: nutze bitte einen richtigen Editor für alles, was über Wheelchair hinausgeht.

Dann noch zum Parkplatz: Schau Dir mal osm.wiki/DE:Tag:amenity%3Dparking an. Dort findest Du das richtige Tagging für Parkplätze. Eine Adresse ist zum Beispiel nicht notwendig, name=* wird nur für Eigennamen verwendet. Daß es sich um einen Parkplatz handelt, ergibt sich aus amenity=parking. Auch ist die Frage, welche Form der Parkplatz hat. Wenn es Stellplätze am Straßenrand sind, sollten sie entsprechend getaggt werden.
