Nice one. You might also want to add heritage=2 and heritage:operator=Historic England as suggested on the wiki: listed_status=*#England

You should probable add access=private to those driveways, since it isn’t implicit (I think).

Good catch. Fixed in changeset/56739346.

I was planning on just deleting the local_ref on most stops. I think it’s useful for bus stations, or if the sign on the roadside has an identifier on it, but I’m not convinced nr/opp adds anything.

Yeah, definitely. I’ve been removing local_ref=AT from various bus stops in Kendal (when I remember), because it doesn’t appear on any of the bus stop signage. I think it was added in error originally (or all the bus stop signage has changed, which is also possible).

None that I could be sure of. I wasn’t sure about the shops using both floors either, but if you’re sure of that, please merge them.

Whoops, I was obviously having a slow day with those turn:lanes. Thanks for the fix.

Got osm.wiki/Tag:lit=, osm.wiki/Tag:sidewalk=, maxspeed= (etc.) tags for these new residential roads, or are they not complete yet?

Done in changeset/56534742 and changeset/56534715.

Good point about the opening_hours. I was hesitant to add them, since I wasn’t sure how correct they would be. But after verifying them against some other branches in Kendal, they seem pretty consistent. I’ll add them.

I think it’s useful to have the ‘mobile’ post offices on the map, since they should always be there during their opening hours, right?

According to that wiki page, given what we know (it is used as a stop, and there is no sign present), it should be highway=bus_stop, physically_present=no. No need to add customary_stop=yes because that’s already in the naptan data, right?

56472402 almost 8 years ago

Have you verified the stop exists separately on the southbound side of the road? I can’t spot a bus stop sign there, there’s nowhere sensible for buses to stop, and I’ve never seen a bus stopping on that side of the road. I suspect the buses pull in to the layby on the northbound side, in which case I suspect there should only be one platform and one stop_position tag?

Done in changeset/56398943.

(Thanks for the changes!)

Don’t you need a separate stop_position for stop cumdjpgd (Collin Road junction)? The northbound and southbound platforms are quite far apart, and the southbound one has a separate layby.

56395287 almost 8 years ago

Nice one. Note that the platforms and stop_positions for a given bus stop have to be in a stop_area relation (public_transport=stop_area).

Thanks. I was rushing a bit, so missed those few things.

Nice! Do you have a plan for the addresses too?

Some minor problems with the building passage here, which I fixed in changeset/56355640:
- Passages through buildings should share their start/end nodes with the building
- They should be tagged as tunnel=building_passage and layer=0 (i.e. the same layer as the bottom of the building, not beneath it)
- Driveways should typically be access=private since they’re not public highways
