The solution would be to split one of the overlapping ways and to delete the doubled segment. But coming back to my question, is the new way a track (vehicle drive way) or a foot/bike path?

Are you sure, the added way is actually "track" and not a "path"? On the satellite images I cannot see any track.

I also would like not to collect several relations in one relation together, as relations are not collections. So please keep things simple so they can be maintained easily.
