this road is legally separated. there's no allowance for cars turning across to NB

it may be badly painted, but in the US a solid white line is legal separation for a lane. it designates a dedicated space for bikes cars are not to enter. This also fixes practical routing, bikes do not merge into traffic where there's a bike lane marke

it's stupid but walking past these both crossings are places to change sides of the bike lane. you can tell the difference on the ground

this is a formal bike crossing to connect both directions of bike path. I hiked this within one week
