over 2 years ago | Hi, On node/10780155026, was id=14 supposed to be ref=14?
over 2 years ago | Hi, Thanks again for all your mapping work! It looks like this changeset has some conflicting tag values, for example in way/1066813886 you have lanes=2, but turn:lanes=left|none|none, which is 3 lanes. Could you go back and make sure that the number of lanes in the lanes and turn:lanes tags are consistent with the road? Thanks!
over 2 years ago | Hi, You created a way with no tags here: way/1054612785 could you please add some tags or remove it? Thanks!
over 2 years ago | Thanks for doing that! One more quick note on way/296965100, the drink tagging is a different type of tagging called a key prefix, so instead of drink=wine;coffee you do drink:wine=yes, drink:coffee=yes (you'd probably use a more specific value than yes). This page has all the information: drink:*=*
over 2 years ago | Two more typos, again please double check your changesets before uploading
over 2 years ago | Hi, Is there a reason you tagged this as area=yes instead of natural=beach? way/977419546
almost 3 years ago | There is a tool called overpass, it's quite complex but for simple things like this it's pretty straightforward, here's a link to get you started: https://overpass-turbo.eu/s/1tjl. If you click export, you can load the results directly into JOSM to mass-edit the tags. If you have any questions, the #overpass channels on either the OSMUS Slack or OSM World Discord are pretty responsive, as well as osm.wiki/Overpass_API/Overpass_API_by_Example and osm.wiki/Overpass_API/Overpass_QL
almost 3 years ago | Hi, Did you mean this to be no_left_turn? relation/15668369
almost 3 years ago | Hi, For places like way/186237031, the amenity tag is not the correct way to show what you're trying to show. You need to add individual nodes showing where the showers, telephone, recycling, and vending machines are in the building. Thanks!
almost 3 years ago | Hi, For the width key, it has to be a number (with units if it's not in meters). Adding ">3.65" is not a valid width, and won't be understood by any data consumer. If you don't know the actual width, you can just leave it blank so that someone else can fill it in later. Thanks!
almost 3 years ago | Hi again! One more tip for parking lots, it's best if you draw one parking lot area for the entire parking lot, not one for each section of the parking lot like here osm.org/#map=19/42.98550/-85.67779
almost 3 years ago | Hi, Thanks a lot for all the recent edits! One pointer when doing stop signs that are on one road instead of on an intersection like node/10776628413 is you should always add the direction, otherwise routers can't tell which direction of traffic the stop sign is meant for
almost 3 years ago | Hi, When adding house numbers, you should only put the number in that field, not anything else. Could you please fix way/1158317569? Thanks!
almost 3 years ago | Hi, You double-tagged node/10774595636 and way/1158589307, can you please remove the tags from the node?
almost 3 years ago | Hi, Thanks again for all your mapping work recently! One pointer I have is that you should connect paths and roads together in a way that makes sense to routers. For example, way/1158489081 and way/1095766097 are pretty much useless because they're disconnected from everything else. The general rule is if two paths/roads connect in real life, they need to connect on the map, even if it looks a little weird because the sidewalk is technically going over the road
almost 3 years ago | Hi, Please make sure your changeset comments are accurate in the future, so it's easier to tell what you meant to do
almost 3 years ago | Hi, Looks like you missed the `highway=construction` tag here, would you mind fixing it? Thanks! way/1158023164
almost 3 years ago | Hi, This is not the correct way to show that it is closed, most routers will ignore noexit tags. You need to use either access=no or highway=construction (if it's being worked on) on the part of the trail that's closed, using osm.wiki/w/index.php?title=Conditional_restrictions&uselang=en if it's only closed for a short period of time. If there are physical barriers, then you can also map them as barrier=*. Hope this helps!
almost 3 years ago | Hi, Looks like you created this multipolygon with an unclosed end: relation/15657641. Could you please fix it? Thanks!
almost 3 years ago | Stop changing the address, I fixed it once and you just went and broke it again. I'm going to fix it one more time, please do not edit it again
