Thanks for the response, in the future please don't delete tags like this, because very often people forget to put them back

159521618 about 1 year ago

Oh, i see, i'm not aware of any tagging for that then, sorry

Worth noting that "leisure=swimming_pool"+"https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:swimming_pool=lazy_river" (swimming_pool=*#Alternative_usage) seems to have more usage than leisure=lazy_river

> I'll change the highway from "water_path" to "path" for now, those ways were meant to indicate traffic flows within a pool area, both after exiting a water slide and for approaching stairs. Is there a tag that I can use to indicate that the path is used for these purposes, or simply to indicate that they are paths within the water?

I'm not sure those are meant to be tagged, a pool is inherently unroutable since it's a body of water, and I don't know of a standardized tagging for "suggested paths through water". Probably the best thing to do is look up other waterparks and see what tagging they have.

> (which this tag is also not listed on the wiki for highway, should I change it?),

No, the wiki should only be changed if there's a large usage of the tag

For the facebook question, it's the same as the website tag of the other changeset, the contact:facebook tag is a duplicate of the facebook tag, they aren't meant to be both specified in the same object, and the tag value is the full URL or pagename, not a group name (see facebook=*)

putting the group in source:service_times makes the most sense to me, but there's not a standard way in OSM to define two different facebook URLs for the same object

contact: is a tag namespace prefix, it's not a qualifier for the website tag. Basically they are identical tags, you can read about that here: contact:website=*

What you want to do would be best done using the website: prefix (website:*=*), so probably website:contact, but there's not a lot of support for that.

Hi there,

Why did you remove the crossing tags from this crossing?

159509725 about 1 year ago

landuse=grass is described as “A tag for a smaller areas of mown and managed grass for example in the middle of a roundabout” landuse=grass

Hi there,

on way/38747037, fee and fee:conditional have the same value, can you please fix this?

159509725 about 1 year ago

Hi there,

For way/1337205354, landuse=village_green is described as "a distinctive area of grassy public land in a village centre". Are you sure that this is an accurate tag here?

Hi there,

Are you sure that this intersection has traffic lights? node/12327038789
None of the aerials or streetviews show it and I can't find any definitive data about it

159558206 about 1 year ago

It is kind of a grey area as to which tags should go on the ways vs relations, so i agree that it's fine to do that. I am going to add place=islet to way/996362207 so it at least has some tag definition

159521618 about 1 year ago

Also, you added way/1337308826 with no tags. Objects need to have tags so it's clear what they are. You can search through JOSM presets, or search the wiki osm.wiki/ to find good tags, or describe what it is and i can help you find the right tags

Hi there,

When adding buildings, you need to double check to make sure they aren't overlapping existing objects, such as roads, and if they are, either adjust the building or the road to match imagery. Could you please go back and fix:
way/1337234290
way/1337236540
way/1337234299
way/1337232452
way/1337232793
to fix this problem? Thanks!

Hi there,

Why did you remove the leisure and boundary tags from way/996362207, and why did you add highway=track to relation/18329581?

159521618 about 1 year ago

Hi there,

"highway=water_path" is not a valid tag, did you perhaps mean to use attraction=water_slide ?

159507204 about 1 year ago

Hi there,

highway=sidewalk is not a valid tag, the correct tag combination is highway=footway and footway=sidewalk. Could you please fix these? Thanks!

159505001 about 1 year ago

I'm not exactly sure what you were trying to do, so feel free to re-do it, just without dragging anything else into it :)

159505001 about 1 year ago

Hi there,

I had to revert this edit because you accidentally dragged a building very far away (see the visualization here: https://pewu.github.io/osm-history/#/way/1087534298). The editor did warn you of this when you went to save, so in the future please pay attention to those warnings!

Hi there,

Can you please fix the fixme in way/1335781430?
