almost 2 years ago | Hi there, You dragged this node node/8493310753 and glued it to the landuse, breaking this building: way/914281820 Could you please go back and fix it? Thanks!
almost 2 years ago | You also deleted things that were clearly existing, like this pier way/1261324993, and also you re-added a railway across several roads which do not have any signs of railway infrastructure on them
almost 2 years ago | Really? You're seeing it cross roads with no railway crossing like here node/185002244? railway=abandoned is a "route [that] is still visible with ties/sleepers, signals or other railroad right of way signs or infrastructure". Key word here is "infrastructure", which a ROW is not. Bing streetside here way/141080659 shows no evidence of infrastructure, only a two track through the woods.
almost 2 years ago | This changeset has been re-instated in changeset/148681678#map=14/42.8903/-85.3404, even if the argument could be made for some of the railways existing, it cannot be made for all of them, and since the revert also deleted valid objects like way/1261324993, it is unquestionably vandalism, and the DWG has been notified of it
almost 2 years ago | Reverted for vandalism in changeset/148681678#map=14/42.8903/-85.3404 for adding railways that don't exist and deleting valid existing elements. DWG has also been notified given your history with this. Please do not attempt to re-add these railways.
almost 2 years ago | Hi there, Looks like this changeset disconnected West Avenue K from South 9th Street: node/11727730907#map=18/32.93634/-103.35941 Was that intentional?
almost 2 years ago | This changeset created node/11726182278 on top of the already existing place=village node, might want to check that out
almost 2 years ago | Hi there, Thanks for the additions! Please see the wiki page for how to properly tag sawmills: industrial=sawmill?uselang=en you need to also add landuse=industrial, and it's best if it's an area, not a point. Would you mind fixing this (and the other ones)? Thanks!
almost 2 years ago | Reverted for vandalism in changeset/148637478
almost 2 years ago | Hi, thanks for the addition. Houses don't need to have names, could you please remove the name? Also, you seem to have accidentally deleted the highway tag off a road. I've fixed it for you, but be careful in the future to not do that. Thanks!
almost 2 years ago | Hi, This building is already mapped here: way/82245561 Please remove the building you just made (way/1261949657), and please do not draw over existing buildings, thanks!
almost 2 years ago | i did check the history of the page. That single user is a member of the DWG, so i was inclined to believe it was valid. Also the wiki page for tourism=hotel has had this way of mapping for several years, so it looked like Fizzie was matching that wiki page, which made sense to me. Also I checked overpass, and found that 16% of tourism=motel ways did not have a building tag, which I thought was a large enough percentage to count as a valid way of mapping. Also from a pragmatic standpoint, I do stand by my initial comment about a multipolygon being a subpar way to map it (losing the distinction between motel building and motel office, inability to add refining tags like building:levels, building:color, etc). I don't know of another correct way to map this.
almost 2 years ago | Yeah, iD shouldn't do that, it's a valid way to map according to tourism=motel#As_an_area
almost 2 years ago | Hi there, For relation/17331522, it's much easier and less confusing to draw an area around the motel grounds and add tourism=motel and the rest of the tags to that area, then tag the motel buildings as building=motel. That way it's easier for consumers and other editors to understand it.
almost 2 years ago | Hi there, did you mean to add node/11717026193#map=19/47.23816/-88.46874 to this relation? relation/17333346#map=16/47.2370/-88.4726
almost 2 years ago | Hi there, Did you mean to change railway=abandoned to railway=path here? way/1218802913/history
almost 2 years ago | Sure! I don't use JOSM a lot, so this might not be the quickest way to do it, but you can open up the Relations panel, then select all the disc_golf=hole ways and create a new relation with them, adding type=disc_golf_course as a relation tag. Then you can delete the type tag from the ways Also, tees and baskets shouldn't have names, the hole number should go in the ref tag of the disc_golf=hole way. There's a well-mapped course here to look at as an example: relation/14081231 Finally, make sure you add a node like they did here node/2293235686 tagged as leisure=disc_golf_course to add the name, address, access, fee, etc. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions!
almost 2 years ago | Hi there, Thanks for the additions! In OSM, we try to not name roads (and other things) in a "descriptive" way, it's okay to leave it unnamed if it's just a parking aisle. Hope this helps!
| 148476241 | almost 2 years ago | Hi there, thanks for the additions!

almost 2 years ago | Oops, the link is supposed to be node/4564500810#map=19/41.83027/-86.25666 sorry
