According to a statement at the Regional Parks Committee Meeting May 7 2025, the 7 cabins in this area are currently being demolished with 1 cabin left. This is apart of new construction works to open a new portion of the park in this area.

A survey is needed to verify cabin demolition, any trail changes, and any construction works.

The extension of the "Bowen Island MUP" to Charlies Lane is anticipated to be completed by March 31, 2025. A survey of this area is needed and should also take care to note changes to the Trans Island Pathway. Multiple GPS recordings will be needed to get good accuracy as this is a steep ravine.

Locate the "Pillar of Payan" rock climbing crag. Note that the GPS point on MountainProject is likely inaccurate.

A report in the Bowen Island Municipality Monday, February 24, 2025 council meeting says this trail is now open. A re-survey of this trail is needed to verify if this is correct.

"Recently, from 2023-2024, Metro Vancouver carried out work to complete trail access to Dorman
Point and the site is now open to the public. The only exception is the beach area, which is inaccessible
due to the deteriorating condition of the existing staircase"
