Hi,
I've seen hundreds of duplicated buildings added by you in this area. Could you explain how you came to add those duplicated buildings to the area?
You are mentioning that you used only Esri aerial imagery as the source for the data, but yet it looks weird this duplication.

Hi:
You had modified the residential area of Bangui, by deleting the tag landuse=residential and adding the tag place=locality.
Deleting the tag landuse=residential would mean that the city wouldn't be a residential area anymore, that is an error.
Adding the place=locality doesn't make any sense, as that tag is used to name an unpopulated location for which there is no extant feature to which the tag could be associated. The proper tag would be place=city in this case, but we don't add this to the area, but instead we add it to a node, that is already in the map: node/27564988
Enjoy mapping, but please take care about modifications and deletions of existing objects. In case of doubt, don't modify/delete the object and ask other mappers. Thank you!
I have already corrected your error.

No worries. It's not really important. I only wanted to make sure you weren't commiting the mistake because error of concept. Cheers.

Ola:

Semella que isto é unha importación de datos do IDEG da Xunta de Galicia. Podes indicar ónde está documentada esta importación e se seguíu as Import Guidelines [1]? Grazas.

Did you really surveyed the stream way/796672064 ? Just jocking.
You shouldn't add survey to objects you haven't surveyed in the field.

Why are you deleting place nodes and moving the information to the residential area? This is not what we agree to do according to the wiki: place=*#Mapping_populated_places_as_areas
"Populated places (in particular place=city, place=town, place=village, place=hamlet and place=isolated_dwelling) are usually mapped as nodes since in most cases they have a well defined centre but not a verifiable outline. [...] Because of the lack of verifiability and the different conflicting ideas for the meaning of the outline and because the well defined centre of the place which is useful and important for many applications is not part of such mapping it is not advisable for mappers to map populated places as areas but to map them as nodes. Data users should not expect the area geometries of populated places to have a particular meaning."

Moreover, there is a Mali local thriving OSM community that you should contact, instead of doing things like this without telling them about it.

Hi: can you give us information about these edits? For all the health centres I have checked, you have duplicated the same health centre that was already in the map, coming from an import of UNICEF data. Where do this data come from? Is this an import? Thank you for the information.

Hi: Thank you for mapping. Waterways should be mapped in the downstream direction. I've corrected them.

Hi:
Can you explain:
1) If you have permission from the CDIG to import these data into OSM?
2) If you have followed the import guidelines? That means:
a) Contact the local osm community of Tchad
b) Wrote an import wiki
c) Discussed this with the imports list
Moreover, "Lieu" isn't a documented key. We don't usually start any key with a capital letter, and language is UK English for mostly all keys, by agreement of the OSM community.

Hi:
I had to revert this changeset because you changed the admin_level system that has been agreed by the Congo-Kinshasa OSM community.
Villes are level 6, and communes level 7.

What is the source of those place nodes? What's ACTED? Another undiscussed import?

42463318 almost 6 years ago

Hi: It's already 3 years since I asked you to provide the url of the wiki for this import. No answer. There are 160 places, many of them badly located (out of any residential area), and with uncommented tags (comming most probably from shapefiles or similar), like COM_NOM, PREF_NOM and SPREF_NOM
Do you understand that this behaviour, ignoring other mappers, is not exactly the best way to build a better map and a better community?

What's that OCHA source you say you have used? Do you have permission to use that data? Are you importing data without discussing with the community?

I can't see any village here using Bing aerial imagery that you say you've used: way/462538531

Can you also explain why you put or move place nodes out of the residential area, or better explained out of the center of the settlement/village ? See the wiki about places: place=*#Nodes
