Hi Michele, I just saw you added English translations as names, e.g. Pizzeria due Fratelli got a name "The Two Brothers". Please do not do this. name:en is not a translation, it is for English names. At least in case of the pizzeria there is no English name

Grazie.

This should probably be reverted. Undiscussed mass edit, this changed a lot of toponyms (place nodes and their values) that the community collected and replaced the names with synthetic administrative "names" and admin boundaries.

Hi gionax,
I just noticed you classified part of the Fontana di Trevi (the "Oceano" sculpture, as "mural" which is typically a painting on a wall. Can you explain, was it on purpose?

Are there any news on the pedestrian topic in Venice in general and on this edit in particular?

64557583 about 7 years ago

@woodpeck Do I understand you correctly that you deleted a sea area polygon because other sea areas nearby haven't been mapped (yet?) as polygons?
I agree that the boundary line is likely not precisely defined (in reality), but discussing this with the creator before deleting it completely would maybe have been more sustainable. You write that nodes are "sufficient", but how can you understand the size/extent of the area from the node?
How can you see that "The gulf consists of smaller named water bodies, namely the "Bothnian Bay" in the North, and the "Bothnian Sea" in the South. ...and these themselves partly consist of smaller named water bodies like Luodonselkä in the North-East." if these are all "perfectly sufficient" nodes?

64285370 about 7 years ago

Hallo unknow74,

Hi,
I have seen you have changed the tagging for the temple sites on Largo Argentina from archaeological site to ruins. I believe this is not fortunate, because "ruins" is less specific than archaeological site (ruins can be any kind of ruins, an archaeological site is considered more significant, e.g. by the osm carto rendering style sheet, and more details about further tagging are documented. I am aware this has already happened a long time ago, should you not be involved in OSM any more, you can ignore my message ;-)

you have added some geometry tags that seem highly improbable, e.g. the 4 river fountain was added as being 40cm high and 25cm wide, which is obviously complete nonsense.
