Hi I’m Daniel, an active contributor to OpenStreetMap in the Tri-State region. Professionally I am a healthcare provider at a Trauma Hospital. I map recreationally and occasionally for humanitarian purposes when there is a HOT activation.

A lof of my mapping activity is on the Go Map! application. I enjoy adding restaurants, bike parking/bus stops and other very micro level information.

Lately I have been adding buildings in Westchester County with the iD editor. My lofty goal is to complete the map for New York State. If only wish there were some way to count existing buildings and compare with official data sources to check for completeness. It may never happen but I think that would really cool.

If you’re also editing in NYS/NYC consider joining the local community on the OSMUS Slack in the #local-newyorkstate and #local-nyc channels. The groups are very friendly and filled with people who want to make the map better too.
