  5. Without these segments as a route, maps render weird. SFMTA has it connecting through. https://www.sfmta.com/maps/san-francisco-bike-network-map

  6. Now, this turn may be crazy, I hate the entire idea, there isn't even a sharrow in the left turn lane, but I don't make the rules, see https://www.sfmta.com/maps/san-francisco-bike-network-map

  7. there are vanishingly few speed limit signs in this neighborhood, this map is more mis-information than information in this respect. I will fill in the handful of speed limit signs on the intersection spans they are active later.

  8. there is a bit of 15mph school signage here, but I don't think the zoned area extends beyond those intersections. in fact, Darian and San Fernando is unsigned. I'll presume there's some school-related rules though and wrap that 15mph zone around.

  10. Per SFMTA, this is not part of any route. https://www.sfmta.com/maps/san-francisco-bike-network-map

  11. There's very few speed limit signs in this neighborhood, and I presume they are only effective on the street segment signed between two intersections. There are many 15mph segments in this neighborhood I doubt. But this one stands out as having a sign.

  12. These sections are part of one route per SFMTA, and they render oddly as a gap in many applications before this change.

  13. This part of monterey has no bike markings at all, and is not listed as a bike route with SFMTA.

  14. This street may or may not have signage for bicycles, but definitely allows it. Notably, not part of a bicycle route relation, nor any sharrows, nor an SFMTA route.

  15. make a couple of short segments consistent with the others in the areas, that mark bicycles as designated. Because they are. There's signage, and it's a route.

  16. switch to designated to be more uniform and help out routing software, though "yes" was probably adequate. There wayfinding signage on all SF bicycle routes though.

  17. I noticed some of these segments had ambiguous cycling compatibility, which was creating some problems for some routing software. Given there's signage and the like everywhere around here, start changing to "designated" more uniformly.

  18. If this was ever a SFMTA slow street ("destination" for motor vehicles), it is not one now, at least not south of golden gate park anyway. https://www.sfmta.com/projects/slow-streets-program

  19. Almost certainly a leftover of 2020 slow streets. 41st Avenue's slow street was not renewed. See also recent SF Orthoimagery.

  20. 41st Avenue was part of the 2020 COVID era slow streets programs, but was not made one of the permanent slow streets. There is nothing separating it from a normal street anymore.
