Rt 99 / N Washington St is not a place for pedestrians. There are ample sidewalks on both sides.

These are effectively highway onramps & offramps. There are no sidewalks, and it is not safe for pedestrians. There's no signage, but the clear intent is motor vehicles only on these ramps.

The area between the Munroe & Bemis Buildings is currently a construction site, and none of these paths are accessible to the public.

Rt3/Rt2/Alewife Brook is a major high-volume roadway, as is Cambridgepark Drive connecting to it. These roads are not suitable for pedestrians. There are sidewalks all around, and several crosswalks, and this is where pedestrians should go.

Rt3/Rt2/Alewife Brook/Concord Ave/Teeven Circle are all a major high-volume roadway and not suitable for pedestrians — especially in the rotary! There are sidewalks all around, and several crosswalks, and this is where pedestrians should go.

Rt 2 / Alewife Brook Parkway is a high volume roadway at almost all times of day. This is not a place for pedestrians. There are sidewalks on both sides that people should use for walking.

I’m not sure if I got them all, but all of these segments are part of major arterial roads that aren’t intended for pedestrians (and are inadvisable for bikes). They all have parallel paths that people on foot are supposed to use instead.

The area between MIT buildings 55 (Green Building), 62 (Hayden), and 64 (Bemis) has been a construction site since last year, with no public access to the work zone. These paths are in effect temporarily “permit only”.

Not sure how to annotate this, but this segment of Mass Ave is showing up as a walkable route, but pedestrians should *really* be using the sidewalk here. This is a high-traffic area and not a safe place to walk; the sidewalk is ~10' away and much safer.

The Cambridge St underpass isn't intended for pedestrians. There’s a narrow “emergency-use” sidewalk, but it doesn't seem ADA compliant, or wide enough for normal use. Pedestrains should use the surface paths over this tunnel & the ramps in & out of it.

I’m not sure how to annotate this, but the path is behind a locked gate, and the gate never seems to be unlocked. It's public land, I think, but not an open-access path anyone can just walk along. Maybe "foot=permit" is better?

Pedestrians & cyclists generally shouldn’t be on Land Blvd / Memorial Drive. There are ample sidewalks & paths on both sides; walking or biking on this street is inadvisable. (I guess bikes are technically allowed, but geez it’s a very high-speed road.)

New Rutherford Ave / Rt 99 is a limited access, high-speed highway. People should not be walking on it! There are sidewalks on both sides that pedestrians should use instead.

These service roads (more like parking lots / driveways) are behind a gate at Grove Street that seems to be kept locked. I don’t think the general public is expected to wander around back here.

Soldiers Field Road is a limited-access high-speed highway, intended only for motor vehicles. Segments are showing up on Wandrer.earth as valid for bike &/or foot traffic, which is inappropriate & dangerous, as there are adjacent bike paths & sidewalks.

This appears to be private property: a roof deck on the north side of this building, not obviously accessible from ground level. I’m not sure why it's showing up as a pathway at all, but the general public doesn't seem to be allowed here anyway.

The underpass where Memorial Drive goes under Mass Ave is really intended for motor vehicles. There are no sidewalks, and the traffic is high speed, so it isn't safe for cyclists. Bike riders should & do use the surface streets & paths across Mass Ave.

Rt 2 is showing up as allowing bike &/or foot access, which is very much not the case. The highway and the onramps & offramps should all be designated for motor vehicles only.
