There is a little dirt footpath her that goes from this part of the road down to the road at the other end of the water channel. It is a commonly used, publicly accessible walkway.

This is a dirt road called East Gunpowder Trail. It dead ends at the wash and does head north to Rt 92.

All the trails in the Wildlife Haven subdivision, the area around and encircled by Tanglehead Lane, are on private property. Though they're long established as neighborhood trails when the subdivision was defunct, dozens of different landowners along the routes. Because this is a conservation easement, landowners aren't allowed to install permanent structures (like "no trespassing" signs) outside of the designated building pads on their lots. We appreciate that many locals have been using these trails for years, but be assured they are NOT public lands or trails and if you're hiking their without the permission of all the different owners, you're trespassing. Until the HOA finds a way to deal with the problem of posting it as private, we ask that everyone please respect our privacy and liability for strangers potentially injured on our land. There are many nearby trails, such as Smith Canyon Loop at the end of Foxtail Lane, that allow public access. The Arizona Trail passes just north of here and can be accessed from a parking lot on Casa Blanca Canyon Road, or by the Cross Corridor Trail (which like the AZT allows for dogs) that also originates on Foxtail Lane.
