The pathway ruuning North-West from here to Plough Lane is called the "Mead Path". It is now part of the Wandle Trail, which runs from Wandsworth to Hackbridge and beyond. The spur across the river half-way along is locally known as the "Bridge to Nowhere".

The post box is on the corner of High Street Colliers Wood and Cavendish Road. There isn't a little road leading to the postbox (which is what the map seems to suggest).

The Fish Inn (excellent fish & chip shop) is on this corner.

The Sree Krishna restaurant is on this corner: one of the oldest and best of the Indian restaurants in South-West London, opened circa 1974.
