I did a random sample of 5 relations.

1. ID changeset/28564542

2. The user did not do a complete relation from the start relation/5186076/history

3. The same user that did the relation, ended up broking it

2. User using JOSM broken this relation, and possbily more ( thare are 16 relation in this changeset changeset/35613882

I now see that the number that i did can be as low as 6000, because in the process of using osmconvert and osmfilter , somewhere there it did not give me the nodes, so i have in my relations just the ways.

So a No_u_turn made up of a node and a way, i will count only once

In JOSM , try to download the connecting way that is connected to the way that you are splitting. \

More simple, download a bigger area then the one where you are editing and you should be fine

I also have some scripts that detects this kind of errors. Did you put the code somewhere ?

Hi Walter, i agree, this was my error, i did not factor in the difference in experience between the members of the team. We where 4 persons that handled the re-gluing the al6 to the al4 .

For the future we had decided to have a peer approach when after we will do a import, another user will check what other member of the team did.

Anyhow, i think i should change the initial hypothesis, to the first thing that i am interested, that is, to be able to detect and count this. then, publish the metrics. Then we will know some numbers.

i want to do statistics about everything that is on the planet file, from every piece of the world.

I know that i could just import each continent and then do some join to stitch all together, but then whats the point of a planet file.

I already Have Africa loaded, some more countries loaded, but the aim of my statistics will be to show everything that is on the map, how it relates, what particularities exists in different parts of the world

@jean osmosis have a bug and it does not work to process a file and upload it to postgres without the sudo command.
