About myself

Hi, I’m Aleix. I split my time between Barcelona and Berlin, which is where most of my mapping happens. But whenever I travel, I like to fill in mapping gaps across Europe, so my edits can appear in places as varied as Oulu, Bretagne, Kaunas, or even Wurstlingen ;)

My mapping style is therefore a bit random, but always driven by curiosity and the joy of discovering missing details.

I’ve been fascinated by maps since childhood, collecting everything from city guides and tourist brochures to hiking and topographic maps. I only joined OSM in 2022, with my very first edit being the office I worked in at the time. Since then, I’ve learned by doing, slowly expanding from small edits to more complex contributions.

In 2023 I attended SotM-EU in Antwerp, which really helped me level up my mapping skills and knowledge. More importantly, it made me feel part of an inspiring and welcoming community of mappers.
