over 6 years ago | Hi, welcome to OSM. You might want to read up the how to map section of highway=crossing The crossing node should be place intersecting the footway and road ways, it should be a single node. The ones you added in this changeset are actually the lowered kerb which you can tag with kerb=*
over 6 years ago | Yes Sydney Light Rail but also regular train routes like relation/3165664
over 6 years ago | I have, but as far as I can tell it doesn't include mass public transit on heavy or light rail only "metro", so doesn't show train routes in Sydney.
over 6 years ago | I've reinstated the branch name via the branch tag for the time being.
over 6 years ago | https://osmcha.mapbox.com/changesets/71014610 I think the original name which included the branch name may still be correct, and local knowledge should apply. Either way if the branch name is to removed, then it should at least go into the branch tag.
over 6 years ago | even those these have "College" in their name, they are buildings part of the university and according to amenity=college, the college tag is for further education like TAFE, not higher education like Sydney University.
over 6 years ago | Looks good! If you want you can also add the footway=sidewalk tag to specify that this is a "sidewalk" footpath.
over 6 years ago | Looking at the imagery here, the this area is the parcel that the fire station is on, not the building, so that wouldn't be correct to tag as building=yes. Unless you surveyed here recently and there was a new building?
over 6 years ago | Thanks for fixing this! I included the old one as old_name as found on this old map http://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-231437268/view
over 6 years ago | Hey I noticed for http://osmlab.github.io/osm-deep-history/#/way/379067511 you swapped the school zone max speed from condition to the maxspeed tag. I think the way it was previously is more correct, ie. 60 is the usual speed limit, but conditionally at certain times it has a 40 limit. Is there any reason to do it your way?
over 6 years ago | welcome to OSM. I see you added hilton sydney but it looks like it was already mapped at way/270316692 so I deleted the duplicate on you added, if that's okay.
over 6 years ago | Thanks for adding the name. Does this street specifically forbid horses?
over 6 years ago | +1 if these addresses aren't surveable on the ground, then we don't need them in OSM.
over 6 years ago | Are you saying that only buses can't uturn here but other vehicles can? I think the restriction shouldn't be specific to buses. In NSW it's illegal to uturn at traffic lights unless signposted as allowed.

over 6 years ago | Hi, regarding your cycleway edits here, like way/338444684, thanks for the contribution. I just had some questions. 1. What's your source for maxspeed and maxspeed:advisory on the cycleway? I couldn't see any signage or otherwise limiting the speed, but I only surveyed some sections. 2. I don't think passing_places applies to the cycleway. What were you trying to define by using it? 3. change=yes doesn't make sense if there is only one lane in either direction. 4. cycleway=shared according to the wiki is not recommended anymore, in favour of simply segregated=yes/no
over 6 years ago | although not wrong to add Shell Beach as a multipolygon, it may be simpler to just have that small section of way overlapping to keep it as a simple closed way.
over 6 years ago | Thank you.
over 6 years ago | Hey I noticed you deleted the barrier I just added at https://osmlab.github.io/osm-deep-history/#/node/6505084855. I surveyed this Sunday and the block was there, did you notice it was removed in the last two days?
