over 6 years ago | eg. The Langham needs tourism=hotel way/152423825/history
over 6 years ago | It looks like david jones was already mapped here at node/4661347118, unless there are two within the same building, so I'll delete yours in favour of the pre-existing one. Please reply if that's an issue.
over 6 years ago | Hey John, I've noticed a few times like with Hilton Sydney, Ibis King Street Wharf, you've removed tourism=hotel when adding building=hotel. The tourism=hotel key must remain for current hotels, building=hotel just means that the building was originally built as a hotel/it is a hotel building.
over 6 years ago | Yeah you're right, thank for spotting. I just fixed it.
over 6 years ago | Good catch, I see you've fixed it already, thank you.
over 6 years ago | Please see osm.wiki/Spam#SEO_Spam, if you're a legitimate business trying to improve OSM but would like some help, feel free to reply, but in the meantime I'll revert your change due to the marketing hype.
over 6 years ago | I know you've tried to fix this now but what's your source for your edits? Are you doing a ground survey? If you're armchair mapping, then please could you join talk-au or https://bit.ly/maptimeau to discuss changes first? It would be great to have some help mapping to the public transport schema.
over 6 years ago | Ah thanks, you're right way/679354513/ is the public_transport=station and way/34891023 is the railway=station, per the wiki, one is more the passenger's view of the station, and the other the train's view of the station. I don't think your T4 stop_area makes sense to me, but then again I don't really understand the stop_area tag... Platform 24/25 are just two platforms at Central station, I don't think the need to be marked differently to any other platform at Central station.
over 6 years ago | Looks great, I just added the office=publisher tag from office=* so that this feature is marked as a publishers office.
over 6 years ago | Thanks, if that park is designed just for dogs, you can consider using leisure=dog_park
over 6 years ago | Thank you.
over 6 years ago | Hey there, I've added the new node node/6571334825 for Central station, however Central station was already mapped at way/34891023 as an area. Per one read world feature = one OSM object, we should only have one Central railway=station, and I think it should be the area. Could we delete the one you added and replace it from the relations with the way?
over 6 years ago | I've reverted this change, please discuss if you feel otherwise.
over 6 years ago | Actually sorry but this change doesn't line up with what's on the ground https://www.mapillary.com/map/im/xcdpbXlGLaxxj6tA_wI9kA, this isn't a road on the eastern side of the road, it's just the light rail track.
over 6 years ago | It looked like you could still access the western side of George St from Bond St, barrier aside, https://www.mapillary.com/map/im/qlLrcZuqUCMahVeyQghGnA time will tell if it should actually be connected or not.
