over 7 years ago | is this change from a survey of the area? so you can no longer turn right from Gannons Rd to Captain Cook Drive? adding the source to the changeset would be most helpful.
over 7 years ago | Looking at the history of way/219863544/history highway=pedestrian "is a road or an area mainly or exclusively for pedestrians in which some vehicle traffic may be authorized (e.g. emergency, taxi, delivery, ...)" highway=pedestrian A good example of this is Dixon Street way/3679955 I don't think this pier is designed to take cars, so it should be just highway=footway not highway=pedestrian.
over 7 years ago | Check out the lifeguard tags emergency=*#Lifeguards and you can use club=surf_life_saving osm.wiki/w/index.php?title=Key:club&uselang=en-AU on some types of surf clubs.
over 7 years ago | hi there, it looks like you may have accidentally converted this road to a power line. I've changed it back to a road in changeset/61643837
over 7 years ago | Thanks for confirming! Agreed we should map per the street signs.
over 7 years ago | The original mapper has reverted this change as it reportedly doesn't match the street sign on the ground. It's a good idea to check street level image and ask the original mapper about their sources before replacing a name with the LPI Base map.

over 7 years ago | I think a better changeset comment is "changed street names based on LPI NSW Basemap", as you're not adding missing streetnames, you're replacing existing ones. Keep in mind the LPI Basemap isn't always correct.
over 7 years ago | Hi, where did you source the name for this from? Was it a street sign or local knowledge?
over 7 years ago | It's not really necessary to add addr:state=NSW as it's inside the NSW relation, relation/2316593. I mean it's no harm, but it's not needed.
over 7 years ago | Hi there, almost there, just need to use the building=house tag instead of landuse=residential.
over 7 years ago | Gosh, I really messed that tag up, thank you for fixing this!
| 60878419 | over 7 years ago | I sent a note to the MS Open Maps team email since I'm seeing three overlapping ways all done by your team here. I've fixed it up but it would be nice to work out why it's happening and if it can be prevented in the future. https://osmlab.github.io/osm-deep-history/#/way/605708363

over 7 years ago | Hi. In this changeset you changed the Wynyard Walk Tunnel way/449886905/history from highway=footway to highway=pedestrian. highway=pedestrian as per the wiki at highway=pedestrian "is a road or an area mainly or exclusively for pedestrians in which some vehicle traffic may be authorized". This tunnel isn't a road, nor is used by vehicles, so highway=pedestrian isn't right.
over 7 years ago | I extended the name correction further west based on Mapillary (best to always use street level imagery if you can as the LPI Basemap does have some typos)
over 7 years ago | You changed way/485494547 from building:levels=43 to building:levels=43m. Was that intentional? I've changed it back.
over 7 years ago | Hey mate, a lot of those junctions you've added aren't really tourist attractions. Where did you source the names from as most I can't find any signs with the name...
