THE ABOUT LIVING JOURNEY STARTED IN 2006 WHEN OWNER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR GARY HOGAN FOUND A DEFICIENCY IN THE WEST OF SCOTLAND'S MARKET FOR A CURATE RANGE OF INSPIRED HOMEWARE & GIFTS.

October 2006 saw the opening of the first store. The website is undergoing its most significant makeover to date, nearly 16 years later, with the intro of more than 40 new brand names and categories, including furniture, lighting, and upscale animal accessories.

Gary began his career in retail after working behind the scenes in movies and television. Given that he was elevated in a household business, it was just an issue of time up until he decided to comply with in his dad's footsteps and open his very own company. Gary continues to lead the business's purchasing department with a sharp eye for the most recent styles and products.

The brands that About Living carries is always expanding, and we are thrilled to welcome some new brands to the family, such as Baobab Collection, Blomus, Jonathan Adler, Menu, Noble Isle, Native Union, and Ortigia Sicilia.

Our goal is to provide our clients with an exquisitely curated assortment of gifts and home decor from leading designers in a single retail location. A selection of the products we have available on our on-line store are displayed in our boutique store found on Glasgow's Southside.
