over 1 year ago | Hi! Welcome to OSM. It looks like you set some water so that it's incorrectly tagged as a beach - I've fixed this up for you.
over 1 year ago | There appears to be a playground here - maybe it would be better to tag it as private rather than removing?
over 1 year ago | "That part made sense and was adjusted already." No, it wasn't adjusted already. I fixed it. - see the history: way/440431477/history If the sand is not all clear and open, it's probably not a beach, it's just sandy substrate covered in grass and scrub along a river bank. The definition of a beach is pretty clear. The imagery here is good enough to identify individual plants and clearly see the border of the actual beach area.
over 1 year ago | "So is there any significant difference to cutting out the sand bar as opposed to tagging the park area as "beach"?" Marking the whole park as a beach is inaccurate because the whole park is not a beach. It's akin mapping an entire school as a cafeteria just because it has a cafeteria somewhere on the grounds. OSM Generally works on the idea of "One feature, one OSM element" You've also extended the beach down beyond where it actually is. Even on very, very current imagery, the beach does not extend as far as you have moved it. Can you explain why you are doing this? Scrub going almost the whole way up to the river bank.
over 1 year ago | I also see that you've re-added the beach tag to the entire park as well as having it on the beach area. Again, this is inaccurate.
over 1 year ago | Thanks for your reply. You can see the tagging on version 6 here: way/440431477/history
over 1 year ago | I'm not seeing what makes the beach you've added here a beach either, it looks like the vegetation line goes almost right up to the banks of Lake Quinsigamond
over 1 year ago | Hello - the beach you've added here seems a little strange, more like the bank of the creek, if it's even that. What are you trying to add here?
over 1 year ago | Hello, you changed the entirety of Gold Hill Family Beach Park to a beach but also added a beach area. I've set the park back to a park because otherwise you're just duplicating the same feature and removing another.
over 1 year ago | Hello, what does GLK stand for?
over 1 year ago | Hello, you've changed the tagging of beach volleyball courts to just be tagged beaches. I am reverting this change.
over 1 year ago | Hello, the correct tag for swimming pools is leisure=swimming_pool not natural=water. These are not natural bodies of water.
over 1 year ago | Hi Mean Mamaw - what's the surface of the beach here or is it actually a slipway of some kind on the bank of the creek?
over 1 year ago | Hello, this is not a beach. This is a playground. If the surface is sand, you can add that tag.
| 147840204 | almost 2 years ago | Hi seeshami!
Also, make sure you take your time adding areas - some of the locations you mapped could have used a few more points to better match what they look like on the ground. |

almost 2 years ago | Hi dhruv1729, Do you have more information about what this is? It looks very much like ordinary private property around a large house.
almost 2 years ago | Hi Rexreator, I'm not sure if leisure=park is the best tag for these areas. Are they camp grounds? Woodlands?
