This is my first diary entry. I’m excited about the possibilities of meeting more neighbors using this site as well as other similar sites like Brooklyn FreeCycle and StreetBank. There is an incredible diversity of cultures, languages and skills in Flatbush/Ditmas Park.

Our neighborhood is culturally and ethnically diverse with people here coming from all over the world, especially Latin American and the Caribbean. English, Spanish, Creole and French are spoken very regularly. That’s what I love about this place.
