Hi,

Some of these waterways are used as admin boundaries.
Would it be better if the 2 features were entered as separate ways?

137810410 over 2 years ago

Hi,
This changeset was partially reverted to restore admin boundaries of Darwin Harbour, The Gardens and Larrakeya. These are sourced for Government data .. not imagery.

I have deleted the relation - all the buildings are part of the landuse= religious ...
The outer way/1184883535 already has landuse religious and address details.

This also removes the house number 15.

137767037 over 2 years ago

Hi,
The property has the house number of 49 to 57, Wade St. That can be confirmed by looking at the DCS Base Map ... with some 'interpretation'.
What is the source of house number 15??? And what street is it?

Errr ...

1) multipolygon relations cannot share outer way segments.
See https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=151.22194&lat=-33.87452&zoom=19&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways%2Cduplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways

2 the building tag should have only one value. So building=yes;hotel is wrong.

3 The hotel covers more that what you have mapped. It would be best mapped using building:part tagging.

Hi,

Razed is used to stop people mapping things that no longer exist. If the objects are no longer on imagery then the razed objects can be deleted from OSM.
"Avoid mapping former railways if it is impossible to determine the former route from the ground or aerial imagery. "
railway=razed

Hi,

There is an error in relation 15985553. The outer way touches the inner way. See https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=137.66508&lat=-34.79486&zoom=19&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways%2Cduplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways

PS nice to map some of the rural areas of OZ.

Hi,

Why break the roundabout (way/170503250 is part of it) into segments??? Each segment has exactly the same tags...

I have restored it back to one entry.

136937622 over 2 years ago

You are going to have to;

read the error given by that tool

follow the previous example if relevant

look on the OSM wiki page for multipolygon relations and fine the error.

Takes time. But you learn more that way than being lead by me.

Marmion Avenue:

oneway=yes

with
lanes:forward=1
lanes:backward=1

That makes no sense. Needs fixing

136937622 over 2 years ago

There are now some 5 relatons with errors in this area...
See https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=144.03058&lat=-39.85133&zoom=9&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways%2Cduplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways

Hi,

The addition of state, postcode and suburb are all redundant information! Do not waste your time adding it. The information can be obtained by software from OSM data already loaded - admin boundaries and post code boundaries...

137305644 over 2 years ago

These are in Victoria.. the DCS stuff is NSW only.

What is the source of this information?!

137229381 over 2 years ago

HI,
This one I'll leave you to fix.

The Chinese cemetery sector is part of the cemetery - so no relation is required.

Multipolygon relation outer ways cannot share segments... see https://tools.geofabrik.de/osmi/?view=areas&lon=148.32810&lat=-34.54313&zoom=18&baselayer=Geofabrik%20Standard&overlays=duplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways%2Cduplicate_node%2Csingle_node_in_way%2Cduplicate_segment%2Cway_in_multiple_rings%2Cintersection%2Cintersecting_segments%2Cring_not_closed%2Ctouching_rings%2Crole_should_be_inner%2Crole_should_be_outer%2Cinner_with_same_tags%2Cways

137221380 over 2 years ago

Hi
The cemetery sectors are part of the cemetery. So these are not 'inners', making the relation having only one member .. so it can be mapped as a simple closed way.

Hi,

Adding 'maxspeed' while there are maxspeed:forward and maxspeed:backward ... makes no sense

I am removing the maxspeed tag where there is this conflict.

134597934 over 2 years ago

Hi,
Try using the DCS Imagery - better resolution and better positional accuracy

95728885 over 2 years ago

Hi,
These areas are part of the Bago State Forest so they should be included. Tagging of 'State Forest' is done using 'landuse=forest'. Catch22 is that most renders use the same rendering for both natural=wood and landuse=forest.

136720671 over 2 years ago

OK.
I took Way: 13653242 and cut it in two where it crosses from one side of the river to the other.
See way/13653242
I took Way: 13653235 and cut it in two where it crosses from one side of the river to the other. See way/13653235

I then placed way/13653235 into the relation/14728907.
See relation/14728907

Note you will have to learn how to do this for yourself. I too am self taught.

136999382 over 2 years ago

Yep. Not uncommon.
I tidied what I saw - flagged on OSMInspector which usually picks up my errors.
