Few things are 'perfect'.. the map is a guide.

Hi
This dragged some nodes of at least one building out of their true position..

Nodes 5396365685, 5762715185 and 5762715180 - these have been restored to their previous positions.

Hi,

The parking relations for 'London Bridge' ...
relation/14741147 outer ways share segments... that is an error .. and then I'd not think the parking area is named 'London Bridge' .. that is some other feature.
relation/14741146 duplicates 3 of 4 ways ... of the above relation ..

What I'd do ... delete the relations. Tag the 4 ways as parking and be done. Simple is better. May want to check there are no duplications of the ways too.

Hi
relation/14747572 is in error - the outer ways should not touch. I do not see this in imagery.

Way: 1024120367 building=yes, layer=-1 .. NO!!! this is not a single building and it is not underground. Layer=0 is taking as 'ground level'. The buildings are at ground level as are the roads... Please redraw the individual buildings, some share walls .. but that alone does not make them the same building.

Hi
The wetland relation/13478309 has an outer within an outer... and that is a problem.

The DCS Base Map shows more of it as wetland.. possibly a broader brush? In any case the relation needs looking at.

Hi,

The 'east 2' car park relation is not correct. The 'east 3' car park relation is correct.

A multipolygons outer ways should not touch one another - that is the problem with the 'east 2' car park relation. Solution - make one outer way around the outside of the thing. Then make 2 inner ways for the trees ... job done.

Hi
If you use the DCS Base Map you can find the names of these .. tracks.. highway=track for these - dashed lines on road = track, solid lines on road =unclassified.

Boundaries of National Parks, State Forests suburbs usually have no 'on the ground markers' but they are hand things to have on the map .. so you can tell when you enter one, or leave one.

128033403 about 3 years ago

The area could be a legal easement for something.. road, electricity line, gas line .. even an old stock route..
There is no road there..

In id you should be able to select various satellite imagery as a background .. is that what you mean by 'photographic view'? This image is a 'map rendering' .. and it is the 'standard OSM map' changeset/128033403#map=19/-32.5543951/117.320466

That data set has no road information...
Someone has linked a road to It?
Can you tell me where it is?
Use the map and pan around (you can zoom in/out) then zoom in and use the '?" button on the lower right of the page and click on it to get the thing your interested in .. Open this webpage
way/963923971

Here you can see the boundary was entered by 'TheSwavu'.

Your just starting out, so mistakes will be made. Safest not to use any source other than OSM provides via the editors through satellite imagery. Using the approved data listed on the Australian_Data_Sources page is ok, but is better with some experience. Best source is personal survey.
Using webpages data .. well you have to search their webpage for copyright information and that can be qu8ite tedious. Telstra will not respond quickly.. so of the applications to others have taken a year .. or more. Safest if this data is removed. Sorry about that.

>s> they can only complain if you delete it .. then you point to the lack of communication .. and that the thing will never be built. Don't be afraid of getting into trouble.. just be fair and you'll be fine.

Ok, not mapping skills but tagging ... the OSM wiki is your friend.
Use the page
osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix

See under proposed: .. high likelihood of being constructed .. it fails that test .. so it should not be mapped ... contact the mapper and let them know.. wait a while (at least 2 weeks) if no response .. just delete it.

That OSM page has a search box at the top right .. use that to find stuff.

Good Luck.

??? 'uncleared road' means what?

It was never made or has been demolished?

tag it with a 'life cycle prefix' ..

See osm.wiki/Lifecycle_prefix

The tags of disused and abandoned look to render on the OSM standard maop ... at least as far as I can see..

I'm waiting for the list comments to die off and then suberise there .. leave that for a while to see if there are any comments on my summary and then add information to the OSM wiki .. contact ORM ...

Note I have just made some more railway corrections to the ferry terminal (along with parking etc)
A timelapse of the destruction/construction is https://ms-my.facebook.com/geelongadvertiser/videos/timelapse-corio-quay-taking-shape-for-spirit-of-tasmania/578741390375654/

Hi

The 'basketball' is actually netball, a very popular sport in Australia. Changed.

128033832 about 3 years ago

Hi,
Welcome to OSM...

The relation for Quealy Winery is not 'closed' so it does not form an area. See relation/14729792

Both members of the relation have no other tags .. so they can be combined into one way .. and that single way can then be closed to form an area. Once that is done the tags from the relation can be transferred to the single way and then the relation deleted...

That make sense?

Hi
This changeset has be partially reverted to restore the Tutanning Nature Reserve relation.

This means that way/963923959 has been restore to its previous location and that the tag highway=track has been removed from it. This way is the boundary for the Nature Reserve. It is not a track over its entire length.

Suggestion? Map the track as a new way without using the existing way?

Hi,
I have made some changes to the cycle/foot way with the new Tasmanian ferry. Would be good if you could have a look at it .. in particular the railway crossings at the southern end .. one of them could now be razed?
